The restaurant’s recipe founder Alan Cheong, who at his age of 33 years old currently, initially touched the f&b industry since his teenage of 12th as a noodle stall part-timer at Kota Tinggi, Johor. Then fully stepped into the career at his 18th of age began as a kitchen trainee in a vegetarian dim sum restaurant at Singapore in year 2004, later-on been positioned as a Chef at his 21 years old. Also been reached Australia to further his exposure in the career stayed 7 years there all the while in chinese cuisine field before returned to home country Malaysia (JB) in year 2017.

While Aavic Cheong, who was formerly a Technician worked in Singapore, all the while having great interest in eatery, added with the experiences hold by elder brother Alan Cheong and foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b industry. Also wishing to introduce various of their home recipes in claypot to bring the best hot-eateries to the locals made the brothers Alan Cheong and Aavic Cheong to bodied-up in year 2018 and successfully established their very first and owned eating house officially named the “Claypot 168 Restaurant” at Taman Desa Cemerlang, Johor. In this Claypot 168, the founder Alan’s very first top recommended in menus will be their signature “Claypot Chicken Rice” which most wanted by their regular customers. Rice boiled 12 minutes in claypot, then topped onto their 2 hours marinated chicken meat pieces (prepared in 7 minutes steamed) followed by another few minutes boiled with homemade claypot sauce poured onto, and finally served in claypot toppings with exotic salted fish, chinese sausage, fried onions, chopped spring onions, sesame oil & slight chinese rice wine will brings wonderful claypot roasted-taste and delicious rice wine eatery that you should have a try when reached Johor Bahru.
