Chee Soon Wah (Ah Wah), also the restaurant’s main chef, who at his age of 40 years old currently being initially stepped into the f&b industry at his age of 19th began as a trainee in the career at hometown Ipoh, spent 5 years positioned as a Dim Sum Chef. Also been reached Singapore and Macau to further his exposure in the field, and sharpen his dim sum creations in the career.

While founder Ooi Goon Lee, who all the time in F&B Marketing and Management career, having great interest in eatery on his vision to serve & bring the best quality dim sum into the market. Added with mission to have his very own dim sum restaurant, also foreseeing the f&b market opportunity in the industry made him in year 2015 bodied-up with Ah Wah successfully established their very first & owned dim sum house named “Restoran Prosperity Dim Sum” along Jalan Pasir Puteh, Ipoh. Then another outlet stall in the Center Point Food Court (Beside Ipoh Parade) in year 2016, where joined by partner Kok Swee Hoe continues their expose in the field and being recognised among the best in town year 2018.

In this Prosperity Dim Sum house, the owners’ very first top recommended in menus will be their signature “Salted Egg Yolk Bun” or famously known Larva Bun. Homemade pumpkin flavour flour-made bun insided with the mixtures of fresh milk, salted egg yolk & butter, served after 5 minutes steamed brings excellent bun’s bites texture and the wonderful milky & tasty larva paste swallowed into mouth that you must try when reached Ipoh, Perak. Also secondly their “Bacon Roll” which among the visitor’s favourite, made from quality bacon meat rolled insided with in-house made minced pork then served after 8 minutes steamed with sauce options of black pepper, sweet & sour or oyster sauce that you cannot aside here.

While on prawn/shrimp dumpling selections, their “Signature Shrimp Dumpling” and “Traditional Shrimp Dumpling” or locally known ‘Har Gao’ will be the best choice in this dim sum house which homemade from in-house made rice/flour wrapping skin insided with local’s fresh sea prawn to bring the unbelievable bites texture and prawn’s freshness into mouth you will never regret after tasted here.

In a dim sum restaurant, Pork Dumpling or known here their “Dong Gui Siu Mai” surely will be among the must taste menu strongly recommended by the owners. Local fresh minced pork made-mixed with herbal recipes, topped with Gei Zhi then served after minutes steamed brings exotic meat’s juicy & texturing bites, and nice obvious chinese herbal taste into mouth that really neither found the same in town, you will like it.
