“Charcoal Simmered Soup” or locally also famously known Stewed Soup is a kind of Chinese’s traditional way of preparing soup in home-cooked for long hours to bring the best authentic soup cuisine been practised since thousands of years ago. The Negeri Sembilan originated Mr. Ku Choon Koi (born 1967), was the initial founder, together with wife Ms. May Yee Siew Bee (Kuala Lumpur origin) both are the recent immediate owners of this best recognised Simmered Soup “Ah Ku Soup” at Seremban, Negeri Sembilan introducing all their home recipe charcoal stewed / simmered soup selections and other signature menus to the locals & visitors in manner. Ku Choon Koi, who at his age of 51 years old currently, was formerly in Furniture & Hardware Industry, also been touched the f&b career at his teenage worked as a part-timer all the while having great interest in eatery & chefing allowed him to hold a base with experiences in the field. With his vision to have his very own eating place and foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b industry, added with the chances been given in year 2013 enabled Choon Koi (with wife May Yee) began their very first foodstall named “Ah Ku Soup” in the S2 Uptown Foodcourt at Seremban2 serving their home prepared simmered / stewed soup to the locals.
In order to expose further in the career, Choon Koi in year 2016 have also moved into shoplot running his eating restaurant at Uptown Avenue, Seremban2 stayed about 3 years there. Then in year 2018 been expanded into the S2S Foodcourt at Gerden Homes, Seremban continue his exposure in the field re-nowned as famous “Ah Ku Soup” and also being well known among the best in town by their visitors.
In Ah Ku Soup, the founder’s very first top recommended in menus will be their famous selection “Ah Ku Signature Soup” which most wanted by their regular customers from the beginning. The mixtures of dried scallop, mushroom, fish maw, pork rib, gei zhi etc all into a sand-made soup bowl, then slow cooked at least 8 hours on charcoal simmer / stew without any MSG or preservatives / additives will brings wonderful healthy sweet & soup freshness taste and soup smoothness swallowed into mouth that you must taste when reached Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

Pork belly selected, braised at least an hour on their 8 ingredients recipe mixture with ginger & garlic, then finally served in cutted pieces sided with hoursly stewed chicken egg, dried-beancurd sheet, veges & tau foo (beancurd) will brings a plate of their exotic taste of braised porks eatery which you cannot aside here. Another will be their home-cooked recipe “Black Vinegar Pig Trotter”, which on limited serves daily favourite by the locals.
