“Cantonese Cuisine” is all the while our local’s favourite cuisine selection eateries taken by most of the chinese religious throughout the nation that being practised since decade on respective recipes by the chinese restaurants. Here in the South, we found and successfully recognised among the recommended best home recipe Cantonese Cuisine eating house “Restoran SGL” carried by the Chay family at Seremban, Negeri Sembilan for more than 20 years in town.

The Seremban (Negeri Sembilan) local originated Mr. Chay Nyat Kian (born 1976), was the immediate founder, together with his wife Ms. Janice Wong Yoke Chan (Perak born, 1977) both were the owners of this best recognised Cantonese Cuisine eating place “Restoran SGL” at Seremban2 all the while presenting most of their home-cooked recipe signatures to the locals and visitors under a roof. Also being fully assisted by elder sisters Ms. Chay Nyok Ying and Ms. Chay Yit Thai from the beginning.

Chay Nyat Kian, also the restaurant’s Main Chef (Ah Dee), who at his age of only 42 years old currently all the while having great interest in eatery and chefing. In year 1994 been fully stepped into the f&b industry at his 18th of age recruited into a chinese cuisine restaurant at Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur began as a kitchen trainee spent few years there then positioned as a chef. Also been reached Singapore to sharpen his experience in the field before returned to hometown Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

With Nyat Kian’s (Ah Dee) vision to have his very own eating house, added with the experiences hold on him and the encouragement from family member. Also foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b field and to further his exposure in the career made him in year 1997 successfully started his very own first eating place at Desa Rasah, Seremban. Then in year 2000 moved to Rahang, Seremban running on “Wan Soon Restaurant” stayed 9 years there and later-on exposed into Tiyvi Jaya with “New Wan Soon Restaurant”. Finally established his Cantonese Cuisine eating house “Restoran SGL” at Garden Homes, Seremban2 in year 2012 and being recognised here as among the best in town by F&B E-Media for year 2018.

In this Restoran SGL, the founder cum Main Chef Ah Dee’s very first top recommended in menus will be their “Salted Egg Yolk Fish” which most favourite by the visitors recently that being Chef’s best in-house signature. Local feeded Talapia fish commonly selected, fish fillets prepared in slices, then floured-up and deep fried, wok-fried in seconds with home-prepared salted egg yolk paste mixed into fresh milk & butter, into curry leaves and chilli padi will brings excellent delicious crispy bites and nice salted exotic taste into mouth that you must try when reached Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

Secondly will be their famous “Dong Po Meat”, which among their regular customer’s most wanted all the while. Pork belly boiled then braised nearly an hour in their 7 ingredients mixture recipes & slight rice wine into, then served in fine cutted cubes sided with steamed buns and veges, with poured onto their braised sauce broth will brings unbelievable smooth meat’s bites texture and wonderful rice wine, sweet & fair salty taste eatery you will never regret after tasted here. Neither found better elsewhere in town.

Another will be their “Signature Steamed Chicken”, which desperate by the locals and also among the restaurant’s daily top seller you will like it. Fresh local feeded free-range-chicken with weight of about 2kg well selected, boil-cooked in about 50 minutes, then served poured onto their in-house soya sauce mixture and sided with plate of homemade ginger paste taken tipping onto it will brings the best steamed chicken that you cannot aside here. Especially the chicken meat’s bites texture and the chicken freshness itself taken together with their sauce into mouth, really neither found the same in town.

Last but not least, the owner cum Chef Ah Dee also taken this opportunity to introduce their “Hong Kong Style Pork Knuckle” which among the Cantonese Cuisine’s must try selection.
