The partners, Johorean Mr. Lim Guan Chai (born 1963) with wife Ms. Shirley Tan Siew Hua (born 1965), together with friends Mr. Leong Weng Onn (Ipoh, born 1980) and the Kuantan local originated Mr. Tan Ka Xiang (born 1985) are the founders and recent immediate owners of this best recognised Chinese Seafood Cuisine Restaurant “Delicious Happy Garden” in Kuantan, Pahang introducing their home chef’s signature seafoods & local chinese cuisines menu to the locals and visitors under a roof since year 2017.

Mr. Leong Weng Onn, also the restaurant’s Main Chef, who at his age of 38 years old currently all the while having great interest in eatery & culinary/chefing initially stepped into the f&b industry since his teenage in hometown Ipoh, Perak began as a kitchen trainee. Then being positioned as a Chef at his 22nd of age, also been reached Kuala Lumpur before based in Kuantan, Pahang to further his experiences in the field.

While Mr. Lim Guan Chai and wife Shirley Tan whose formerly all the while in Fashion Apparel Trading field, also having interest in eatery. Added with the vision to try expose in the f&b industry and foreseeing the market opportunity in Kuantan town, also with the experiences hold by Weng Onn (experienced more than 20 years in chinese cuisine). Later-on too bodied-up with Ka Xiang (who also a chinese cuisine chef) finally successfully established their very first & owned chinese seafood cuisine restaurant officially named “Delicious Happy Garden” in year 2017 along Lorong Galing, off Jalan Air Putih. Being recognised among the best by F&B E-Media end of 2018 in Kuantan township.

In this Delicious Happy Garden, the owners’ very first top recommended in menus will be their Chef’s signature “Claypot Smoked Talapia” which most wanted by the regular customers. Local feeded Talapia Fish with weight of 1kg or above commonly selected, cleaned then followed by about 10 minutes smoked in claypot with their home prepared soup base mixed with veges & home recipes, finally served boiled in claypot topped with cilantro leafs will brings wonderful delicious smoked/claypot steamed talapia fish that you must try when reached Kuantan, Pahang. Especially the fish freshness itself and the tasty sauce broth swallowed into mouth.

Secondly will be their famous “Deep Fried Crispy Pork Belly”, which is among the restaurant’s daily top seller favourite by the locals all the while. Local fresh belly pork prepared in fine slices, marinated on home recipes and floured-up, then deep fried and finally served after minutes wok-fried mixed with onions shredded in their chef’s home-mixed sweet paste/sauce will brings unbelievable crispy bites eatery and exotic sweet taste into mouth that you will never regret after tasted here.

Another will be their chef’s all time favourite recommendation, the “Tasty Prawn with Mayonnaise Sauce” which like by the visitors. Local fresh big sea Ming Prawn selected, floured-up in home recipes followed by deep fried, then stired seconds with their in-house mayonnaise mixture sauce, and finally served sided with fresh veges will brings excellent delicious milky fair sour & sweet taste and nice prawn’s bites texture & freshness itself into mouth that you cannot aside here. Other than their seafood selections, the owners and Chef Leong also introduced among their best signature in pork menus which is “Signature Dragon Ribs” or locally known 1-Stick Pork Ribs. Fresh pork ribs selected in a whole portion, marinated overnight in home recipes, then prepared in deep fried followed by an hour stewed/braised in chef’s recipes sauce base, then again deep fried in minutes to lock the meat’s juicy and to brings crispy bites on outer-layer, finally served on their home sauce from the long hour braised itself and sided with veges that you really cannot missed when stepped towards this best recognised East Coast’s Chinese Seafood Cuisine Restaurant “Delicious Happy Garden” at Kuantan, Pahang.
