“Chinese Cuisine Restaurant” is a kind of chinese eating house being frequently practised locally and to be found easily everywhere in our country Malaysia all presenting on respective recipes in manner with their signature menus. Here in Sandakan (Sabah), we found and also being successfully recognised among the best Chinese Cuisine eating house “Heng Loong” carried by Yin Family into their 25th years in town. The Kuala Lumpur originated Mr. Yin Chi Keong (born 1950), was the initial founder, together with his wife Madam Tang Chooi Lan (born 1952) both are the recent immediate owners of this best recognised Chinese Cuisine Restaurant “Restoran Heng Loong” running for more than 20 years at Heng Loong town, Sandakan serving all their home recipe selections and signature menus to the locals & visitors under a roof. Also being assisted by their son Mr. Calvin Yin Kong Fung (born 1978), as the next generation.

The founder Mr. Yin Chi Keong, who at his age of 69 years old currently, all the while having great interest in eatery & culinary initially stepped into the f&b industry since his 10th of age began as a kopitiam/kitchen trainee at hometown Kuala Lumpur in year 1960 touched the chinese cuisine field. Later-on reached Sandakan, Sabah in year 1969 been positioned as Assistant Chef started his very first career running the “Sandakan Recreational Club” chinese cuisine restaurant in year 1970 spent 10 years there. Then running his very owned “Emas Seafood Restaurant” at Lebuh 3 in Sandakan township in the 1980s all the while exposed in chinese cuisine field.

With Chi Keong’s vision to have his very conceptual restaurant, added with experiences hold on hand and foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b industry. And wishing to further his exposure in the career made him in year 1994 successfully established his very owned & conceptual Chinese Cuisine Restaurant named “Restoran Heng Loong” at Bandar Pasaraya, Sandakan began from a single lot into double-storey lots today, introducing most of their home recipe menus to the public in better manner. Finally being recognised among the best in town by the F&B E-Media for year 2019.

In this Heng Loong chinese restaurant, the founder’s very first top recommended in menus will be their very “Signature Roasted Pork Belly” which most wanted by the locals all the while. Local fresh belly pork selected, marinated overnight on their home recipes, then steam-cooked in at least 2 hours followed by 10-15 minutes deep fried will brings excellent crispy bites and juicy meats texture that you must try when reached Sandakan, Sabah. Taken tipping onto their homemade sweet sauce paste sided will be the perfect match that neither found the same elsewhere in town.

Secondly will be their famous “Dual Taste Prawns”, which also among the restaurant’s daily top seller favourite by the visitors. Local fresh deep sea Ming Prawns commonly selected, prepared uncoated and floured-up in recipes, then followed by deep fried and finally served apart mixed with mayonnaise and another with salted egg yolk paste will brings 2 different delicious taste (sweet & sour and exotic salty) seperately on a single plate that you will never regret after tasted here. Local deep sea Grouper Fish with weight of about 800grams to 1kg commonly selected, steamed in about 10 minutes and finally served with home-mixed soya sauce and deep fried garlic oil poured onto, topped with celery & spring onion shredded will brings unbelievable best fish freshness eatery and meat’s smoothness into mouth that only in Sandakan, Sabah.

Moreover in vegetables corner, the owners strongly introduced their most signature “Four Kings of Veges” which wanted by the locals all the while.
