The founder cum owner Anson Ong Li Kang, who at his age of 37 years old currently, was formerly in Engineering Industry for more than 10 years, also the 3rd generation in Ong family whose all the while running Kopitiam (Chinese Coffee Shop) locally began from his grandparents. Having interest in eatery and with his vision to have their very own coffee house, added wishing to further expose their family’s home recipes in the market and also foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b industry made Anson Ong in year 2015 firstly & fully stepped into the career, then successfully established his very first owned eating house officially named the “Toastea Coffee” at Persiaran Bayan Indah, Pulau Pinang introducing their very home-cooked foods & beverages and other signature menus to the public.

While Vinson Ong Li Hong, who also formerly in Engineering Industry, having his own vision to further their family’s exposure in the field and generations home recipes on hand by parents enabled him in year 2016 decided & joined brother into the “Toastea Coffee”, also fully assisted by parents (Ong Kim Chee & Tan Guek Hoon) continue presenting most of their Nanyang Cuisine selections. Finally being recognised among the best in town by the F&B E-Media for the year 2019 in the northern nation.

In this Toastea Coffee restaurant, the owners’ very first top recommended in menus will be their famous home-cooked “Curry Chicken” which served with either rice or breads on customer’s preference. In-house 45 minutes prepared curry paste from their 6 ingredients recipe mixture, boiled into curry broth for another half hour with chicken drumstick mixed into potatoes, followed with slight coconut milk poured into and finally served sided with either their home-cooked oil rice or breads taken tipping onto will brings wonderful authentic nanyang taste of smooth & fair salty spicy curry into mouth that you should have a try when reached Pulau Pinang.

Daily fresh boiled white rice wok-fried in-house mixed into with onions, garlics, shrimps, chicken slices, fish balls, chicken egg and mix veges, then served with red chilli shredded will brings their ‘Papa’ home-cooked taste of fried rice that you will never regret after tasted here.
