The founder Khoo Kim Choo, who at his age of 73 years old currently (retired), was initially stepped into the f&b industry in year 1950s, together with his wife Bee Siam began their very simple mobile food stall along Jalan Putra, Alor Setar selling chinese cuisine economic rice selections. Then touched the chinese herbal pork soup (Bak Kut Teh) in year 1970s stayed for more than 10 years in the state’s built foodcourt, later-on moved into their very first shoplot restaurant along Jalan Stadium in late 1980s with officially named it “K Kee”. Finally stayed at Simpang Kuala from 1990s where “Kedai Makanan K Kee” in existence, and began their very home recipe Claypot Curry Giant Prawns broughtinto the market.

While Khoo Phang Choon, who at his age of 36 years old recently, the current owner (2nd generation) been touched the career since his age of about 8th helping parents in therestaurant being passed onto father’s recipes and took over the responsibility to continue the family’s career since year 2014 on the same ground at Pekan Simpang Kuala, Alor Setar. In-house herbal soup base boiled at least few hours with more than 20 chinese herbals mixture, then cooked into with pork offals such pig’s trotters, tails, bellys, spare ribs, stomach (tripes), intestines, hearts, livers, tendons etc, and finally served boiling in claypot with pork offals on customer’s preference mixed into meat balls, dried beancurd sheets, mushrooms & veges will brings unbelievable exotic herbal taste of eatery and texturing pork offal’s bites into mouth that you will never regret after tasted here.

For those who do not prefer taken boiled in claypot or mix pork offals, can also try their traditional bak kut teh soup selections in bowl itself on customer’s options such meat balls, spare ribs, trotters or pork tendons which among the restaurant’s daily top seller wanted by the locals from the beginning.
