The Kuala Kangsar local originated Mr. Khor Jiunn Seh (born 1959), with sister Ms. Khor Wei Peng (born 1963), younger brother Mr. Khor Choon Heng (born 1964) & wife Ms. Chan Sett Peng (born 1972) and cousin brother Mr. Khor Junn Whay (born 1970) all are the recent owners, also the family’s 3rd generation of this best recommended Authentic Chinese Cuisine eating house “Restoran Chun Ji” (formerly Choon Kee) along the Jalan Taiping, Kuala Kangsar still serving their Khor family’s home recipe signatures & TeoChew porridge eateries to the locals and visitors all under a roof on the same ground.

The initial founders late Mr. Khor Kooi Chun (Jiunn Seh’s grandfather), and wife late Madam Fong Bee Ngoh (grandmother) whose began their very traditional roadside stall at the Jalan Datuk back road right in the Kuala Kangsar township in year 1930s selling their very home-cooked TeoChew Porridge eatery to the locals. Later-on been generation passed onto their next generation (2nd generation) late Mr. Khor Han Poh (1939-2018, Jiunn Seh’s father), Khor Han Sua (born 1940) and late Khor Han Chiang (1948-2012) running into restaurant lot and started to serve their home recipe chinese cuisine selections in addition with the named “Restoran Choon Kee” in year 1960s.

Then further exposed and moved into better manner at Taman Suria, Kuala Kangsar (recent location) in year 1984. Subsequently being assisted then again passed onto their Khor family’s 3rd generation brothers & sister leading by Jiunn Seh on the same ground continued presenting their family’s 3-generations authentic home recipes and their other signature menus to the market. Been officially named the eating house on “Restoran Chun Ji” in year 2013. Finally being recognised among the best in town by the F&B E-Media for the year 2019 in the middle northern nation.

In this Restoran Chun Ji, the owners’ very first top recommended in menus will be their very signature “Kung Fu Koay Teow” which most wanted by their regular customers. Local rice made flat noodles (koay teow) deep fried coated with chicken egg mixtures, then served with their sauce broth cooked in mixtures of their hourly boiled soup base (with pork & chicken bones) into fresh kailan veges, mushrooms, chicken meat fillets, chilli & red carrots will brings a plate of their very special home-fried recipe Kung Fu Koay Teow eatery that you must have a try when reached Kuala Kangsar, Perak.

Homemade fresh fish paste from river Xi Dao Fish, wok-fried in-house with fine sliced bittergourd mixed into chopped garlics and recipes mixture will brings wonderful texturing fish paste bites and the tasty freshness into mouth that you will neither found the same nor better elsewhere in town. Nonetheless, Khor owners also hereby introduced among their very authentic family’s 3-generations “Chinese Style Chicken Chop” which wanted by all the locals.
