The founder cum owner Tang Chai Hee, who at his age of 58 years old currently, was grown-up in a f&b family whose 2-generations from grandparents all the while running their chinese cuisine (rice & noodle) foodstall in Johor since year 1950s allowed Chai Hee initially touched the career at his primary education age helping family. Later-on stepped into the industry at his 14th of age in year 1976 running his rojak & chinese kuih mobile foodstall respectively at hometown Labis. Then at his 18th early 1981 carrying his father’s wantan (pork dumpling) noodle roadside stall for another few years in hometown. Also been running his wantan mee, char kueh teow & hong kong porridge stalls respectively in Johor Bahru itself in the millenium year 2000.

With vision to again further his exposure in the field, also wishing to continue bringing his family’s home recipes to the market and foreseeing the recent trendy market opportunity in the f&b industry locally enabled Chai Hee in year 2019 decided then successfully established his very first owned Local Chinese Cuisine Cafeteria officially named it the “Su Ji Noodle Restaurant” (Su Ji Cafe) at Taman Setia Indah, Johor Bahru introducing all his home recipes to the market and fully assisted by wife Ah Yong and son Johnny. Finally being recognised among the best in town by the F&B E-Media for the year 2020 in the southern nation.

In this Su Ji Cafe, the owners’ very first top recommended in menus will be their “Handmade Mee Hun Kuih” which favourite by their regulars recently. Homemade flour-dough prepared in hand-teared pieces, cooked in their 4 hours boiled home soup base (from mixtures of pork bones, ikan bilis, soy beans, dried shrimps, carrot etc), and mixed into their homemade pork minced paste, pork slices, meat balls, fish balls & veges, finally served toppings with fried onions shredded & home-fried crispy ikan bilis will be their complete bowl of freshness sweet tasty Mee Hun Kuih eatery that you must have a try when reached Johor Bahru.
