Mr. Choong Chee Meng (Ah Meng) who is the founder and recently the owner of the famous “Nice Soup Gang Restaurant” located at Taman Daya, Kepong.  According to Mr. Choong, his main mission is to serve and bring the very ‘fresh’ and top eatery home made dishes to the locals at reasonable and affordable charges.

 

Ah Meng who realised his great interest in cooking and f&b since his childhood initially stepped into the industry in the year 1988 at his age of 19 years old after his high school education.  He grapped his first opportunity in the career by recruiting himself into his uncle ‘Chen Chiao’s’ restaurant at Cameroon, Pahang as a starter kitchen helper.  After 8 months under the supervision by his 1st master named ‘Master Ma Yi’ in the restaurant, he been promoted as basic Chef from a kitchen helper.  Afterwards, he joined the ‘Terminal 2 Seafood Restaurant’ to further explore his career and gained much experienced in the industry then quit and joined one of the famous chinese cuisine restaurant at Sime Complex, Kuala Lumpur.  In the year 1991, Ah Meng established his 1st very own food stall named “Heong Kee Food Stall” in a restaurant ‘Soong Kee Restaurant’ at Jinjang, Kuala Lumpur.  Finally, with the assist by his wife Mrs. Choong and his younger brother, Ah Meng successfully established his “Nice Soup Gang Restaurant” in the year 1994 at Kepong, Kuala Lumpur.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For sure, their famous Steamed Soup will be the most recommended in the restaurant serving at least 10 choices daily.  Fresh ingredients in soup boiled more than 4 hours is the top secret according to Mr. Choong.  Especially the “Shark Bones Spare Ribs Steamed Soup” brings the unbelievable taste and health in second.  Another will be the “Bamboo Charcoal Steamed Kampung Chicken” which also the most wanted by their regular visitors, fresh kampung chicken topped with bamboo charcoal steamed in claypot will be the perfect match to taste.

 

 

In seafood corner, their clear steamed fresh river and sea fish of course the top menu in the restaurant.  Among them, the ‘Fresh Clear Steamed Patin Fish’ topped with their home made recipe sauce is one of the best which cannot missed.  The last but not least will be their well known ‘X.O. Deep Fried Rice’ mixed with dry baby shrimp and little scalops is always seen on every table in this fabulous restaurant.
