“Hokkien Mee” or somehow known the KL Fried Hokkien Mee is all the while among the local Chinese’s favourite kind of fried noodles selection which being famously & widely practised since decades with respective home recipes and combinations, also to be easily found everywhere on our nations nowadays wanted by the visitors. Here in the state of Selangor, we found and being successfully recognised among the best recommended 20 years “I Love Hokkien Mee” Noodle House running by the Chan family on the ground into their 2nd generation having great positive response from the market.

The Selangor local originated Mr. Raymond Chan Kah Mun (born 1971), was the initial founder, together with his sons Mr. Chan Chun Loong (born 1991) and Mr. Chris Chan Chun Loon (born 1994) are the recent families owners of this best recognised Noodle House “I Love Hokkien Mee” running around the Selangor township serving their family’s home recipe fried hokkien mee and other signature menus to the locals & visitors all under a roof in manner on the ground for about 20 years.

The founder cum first owner Raymond Chan Kah Mun, who at his age of 50 years old currently, been initially stepped into the f&b industry at his 23rd of age in the year 1994 running his very beginning rojak/roasted chicken wings stall in a chinese coffee shop for about few years at Sea Park, Petaling Jaya. Then started his very home recipe KL Hokkien Mee stall at Serdang in the year 1998 presenting his charcoal fried hokkien mee eatery to the locals where Raymond practically touched the field for another few years in passions.

With experiences and recipes on-hand, added with vision to have his noodle house locally in order to expose further in the career and foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b industry especially on the KL Fried Hokkien Mee enabled Raymond Chan later-on successfully expanded into his first noodle house officially named the “I Love Hokkien Mee” at Serdang (not available currently) in the year 2001. Then another at Bandar Puchong Jaya in the year 2015, following by Balakong (Cheras) in year 2018, running a noodle stall at Meranti Jaya in the year 2020 and coming up at Kota Damansara in early November year 2021 respectively. Also fully assisted by his son Chun Loong who stepped into the career at his 16th of age in year 2007, and Chris Chan joined at his 26th running in a families team with the official “I Love Hokkien Mee”. Finally being recognised among the best in town by the Malaysian F&B E-Media for the year 2021 in the state of Selangor.

In this I Love Hokkien Mee noodle house, the owners’ very first top recommended in menus surely will be their home recipe “Signature Hokkien Mee” which most wanted by the regulars. Local-made daily fresh big-round yellow noodles selected, wok-fried then stired in minutes with soy sauce mixture into fresh prawns, pork slices, cabbage & their crispy home-fried pork lards will be the best combination which brings excellent tasty-wok and delicious salty sweet taste of their signature KL Fried Hokkien Mee eatery that you must have a try when reached Selangor. Taken tipping onto their homemade belacan/sambal chilli paste provided in-house to be the perfect matching here that cannot aside.

Secondly will be their famous “Loh Mee”, which also among the noodle house’s daily top seller favourite by the locals. At least 2 hours home-boiled soup base cooked with their local-made big round yellow noodles into prawns, pork slices, veges, cabbage, home-fried pork lards & chicken egg mixed into potato starch and slight rice wine will brings a wonderful bowl of their tasty Loh Mee into mouth. Also taken tipping or poured into with black vinegar will brings another nice sour sweet taste of noodles eatery that you never regret after tasted here.

Another will be their special “Fried Kuey Teow with Egg”, which also among their visitor’s selection recently. Local daily fresh rice-made flat noodles (Kuey Teow) wok-fried in mixtures with prawns, pork slices, veges & their home-fried pork lards, and finally served hot on table toppings of a raw chicken egg will also brings another best combination of their smooth & tasty Fried Kuey Teow with Egg eatery (also known the Moon Kuey Teow by locals) that you neither found the same elsewhere in town here.

Nonetheless, the Chan brothers also introduced among their all time favourite recommended “Spicy Hot Lala” which like by all their customers in the side order menu. Japan imported Lala clams commonly selected, boil-cooked then followed by a minute wok-fried with their special homemade spicy hot sauce paste (made from nearly 20 ingredients mixture), and finally into curry leaves to be served hot on table will brings tasty salt & fair spicy with the Lala clams’ freshness bites itself into mouth that you really cannot missed when stepped into this best recognised Noodle House “I Love Hokkien Mee” by the Chan family in Selangor, Malaysia.
