The founder cum first owner Boo Lim Hiong, who at his age of 61 years old currently, was formerly in the Handicraft Industry for years (with wife Kim Huang) later-on been approached the fish/seafood career decided to step into the f&b industry touched the Otak-otak field with home recipe being generation passed onto by mother-in-law (Kim Huang’s mother in Muar), added with foreseeing the market opportunity in the industry and then finally began his very home-based otak-otak making career in the year 2003 totally on their (Lim Hiong couple) home recipes. And officially named the “Kim Huang” Muar Otak-otak after a year in the 2004 continue their exposure in the field.

To expose further in the career, also with vision to have their own products & branding in the market allowed the couple founders in the year 2005 started their very owned otak-otak food stall in foodcourt at hometown Batu Pahat, Johor on their official “Kim Huang Food Products” (Kim Huang Muar Otak-otak) introducing their homemade otak-otak to the public in better manner.
