The founder cum first owner, Wong Siew Fong (commonly known Ah Liang) also the restaurant’s main chef, who at his age of 60 years old currently been touched the field since kids helping his father whose running a food stall at Alor Setar township later-on fully stepped into the f&b industry at his 17th of age in the year 1980 began as a kitchen trainee worked in a food stall at hometown. Then being positioned as a chinese cuisine chef at his 24th running his first owned chinese cuisine seafood eating house (with wife Wai Lan) at Muar, Johor in the year 1987 stayed nearly 20 years there reached 2005 introducing his home recipes in the southern ground.

With experiences & recipes on-hand, added with vision to have his very owned eating house locally and foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b career also wishing to based in hometown enabled Ah Liang (and wife) decided then moved & successfully established their Chinese Cuisine Restaurant officially named the “Restoran Taman Saga” at Taman Saga, Alor Setar in the year 2007 where their next generation joined & assisted continue their exposure in the field serving their northern local chinese thai combination of recipes to the public. In this Restoran Taman Saga, the owners’ very first top recommended in menus will be their signature “Braised Pork Trotter with Licorice Herbs” which most wanted by their regulars from the beginning.
