The founder cum first owner Tan Kok Yam, who at his age of 32 years old currently, been initially touched the field at his age of 21st reached Singapore began as a restaurant’s floor crew in the year 2012, then stepped into the kitchen floor as a trainee in a vegetarian restaurant and being positioned as a vegetarian chef at his about 23rd of age before further his exposure into Selangor in year 2014 spent another 5 years experienced the career thoroughly. Again returned to Singapore to strengthen his culinary profession all the while in the vegetarian field. While Beh Meng Hiang, who stepped into the f&b field at his 19th of age initially touched the chinese cuisine began as a kitchen trainee at Penang, then reached Singapore in the year 2013 where he practically experienced the vegetarian field positioned as a vegetarian chef at his 23rd of age spent about 10 years there along his culinary journey in the industry.

With experiences & recipes on-hand (by Kok Yam & Meng Hiang), added with vision to have their very own vegetarian eating house locally and foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b industry especially the recent trendy vegan house field enabled Kok Yam decided then successfully established his very first owned Vegetarian Restaurant officially named the “Food In The Woods” at Dataran Perniagaan Cheras, Balakong in the mid year of 2022 and joined by Meng Hiang. Another outlet at Bandar Puteri, Puchong in the third-quarter of year 2023 serving all their signatures to the public. And finally being recognised among the best in town by the Malaysian F&B E-Media for the year 2023 on the middle nation at Selangor.
