The local Johorean Ms. Kua Jie Ying (born 1993), was the founder, together with her parents father Mr. Kua Tiong Huat (born 1954), mother Madam Sin Jooi Huang (born 1959) and younger brother Mr. Kua You Hui (born 1995) all are the recent immediate families owners of this best recognised Family Canteen “Ke Yi Food And Beverage” along the Skudai territory presenting all their home-cooked recipes in signature menus to the locals & visitors under a roof in an better manner environmental dining condition on the southern ground at Johor.

The founder cum first owner Kua Jie Ying’s father Mr. Kua Tiong Huat (who at his age of 70 years old currently) been initially stepped into the f&b industry reached Singapore and began his very first owned chinese coffee shop in the year 1987 stayed about 15 years on the same ground experienced the career thoroughly (joined by wife Madam Sin Jooi Huang later in year 1992). Then returned to home country in the year 2002 running few years in the chinese economy rice field at Skudai, followed by their couple’s noodle stall at Taman Ungku Tun Aminah for another more than 10 years (2011-2022) all the while exposed in the industry for decades with their patience.

With parents’ experiences & home recipes on-hand, added vision to have their very owned family-run eating house locally bringing their home recipes on table and foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b industry enabled Jie Ying (who is an Accountant) decided then successfully established her (with family) very first owned Family Canteen officially named the “Ke Yi Food And Beverage” at Taman Tan Sri Yaacob, Skudai in the April of year 2024 serving all her parents’ home-cooked signatures to public in better manner. And finally being recognised among the best in town by the Malaysian F&B E-Media for the year of 2024 on the southern nation at Johor.

In this Ke Yi Food And Beverage Cafeteria/Family Canteen, the owners’ very first top recommended in menus will be their signature “Laksa” which most wanted by their regulars. Homemade dried shrimp laksa paste cooked into laksa soup broth with coconut milk (santan) & fresh milk, served with noodles option on customer’s preference, and complete with prawns, fish cakes, boiled chicken egg, beancurd puff (taupok), beansprouts, homemade dried shrimp sambal chili paste and toppings of laksa leaves will always bring the wonderful laksa’s smooth swallowed kind of noodle eatery that you must have a try when reached Skudai (JB), Johor.
