THE ‘TEOW CHEW’ FRESH SEAFOOD PORRIDGE IN CLAYPOT

Here, Mr. Yeoh Kim Hooi, Mr. Ng Kok Chan and Chef Beh Liang Sing found and established their “Northern Claypot Seafood Porridge” restaurant in year 2012 at Shah Alam, Selangor.
Mr. Yeoh, originated from Penang the immediate owner of the restaurant who in the chemical industry for 14 years since the year 1998, who very interested in eatery espaecially seafood and his hometown home recipe teow chew porridge stepped into the food and beverage industry today to combine the both porridge and seafood known teow chew seafood porridge. While Mr. Ng who also the owner of the restaurant well performing in the chemical industry since 10 years ago too favourite fresh seafood eatery been called up by his partner Mr. Yeoh to present their very first in the f&b industry the Northern Claypot Seafood Porridge restaurant at Kota Kemuning.
The Main Chef of the restaurant, Mr. Beh who originated from Taiping, Perak growing in a fish village named Taiping Matang touched and experienced seafood since his age of about 12 years old helping his father, a fisherman in the village. Mr. Beh who formerly a construction workers after his local secondary education stepped into the food and beverage industry started in kitchen at his age of 24 years old helping his brother in his brother’s seafood porridge restaurant for about 3 years before established his Northern Claypot Seafood Porridge Restaurant with Mr. Yeoh and Mr. Ng.
Among the menus, the top recommended will be their ‘Four Seafood Claypot Porridge’ which with the combination of fresh fish slice, prawn, crab and cuttlefish boiled in their homemade recipe claypot teow chew porridge. Fresh seafood used brings the fresh original taste and protein with no preservative to serve their regulars in healthy manner. According to Chef Mr. Beh, their home recipe teow chew porridge cooked using their own recipe soup base boiled with big bones (pork) for more than 4 hours with the ratio of about 4:6, the rice and soup base presenting the best teoh chew porridge. Besides, the Signature Claypot Seafood Porridge with fresh fish slice, fish ball and minced pork meat also one of the top selling favourite by their visitors especially for oldiest and children range. Other than porridge, the Clear Steamed ‘Seven Star Fish Head’ also known ‘Qi Xing Pan’ fish head steamed with ginger slice, little chinese wine and their homemade sauce also the recommended in the restaurant. The Deep Fried small fish named ‘Dian Tow Yu’ or ‘Ji Ya Yu’ which one of the signature dish from northern part of Malaysia. Moreover, their Clear Steamed Lala with ginger slice, ‘Fa Thiew’ Chinese wine added little fine salt brings the top fresh taste from the fresh Lala itself.
