The Selangor origin Mr. Chia Min Huan who with age 58 years old currently, from Tanjung Sepat is the founder and initial owner of the famous “Kedai Kopi Ocean King” located at Penampang, Sabah serving fresh home recipe fish & seafood noodle to the community.  Mr. Chia who formerly only a fish hawker stall operator selling seafood in the market during his 20s at his hometown Tanjung Sepat for years before he reached Kota Kinabalu, Sabah at his age of 33 years old stepped into trading business.

Later on, Mr. Chia quit his business and with his experience in seafood especially on fishes species stepped into food & beverage industry in the year 2004 established his very first fish and seafood noodle house recently known Ocean King started in a lot initially to 2 lots in year 2009.  His younger sons Mr. Felix Chia Kah Hang with age 25 years old now generated to handling and running daily operation at their noodle house at Penampang main outlet two years ago in mission to further explore his father’s career while his elder brother Mr. Kenneth Chia handling and running their 2nd new outlet at town area in Kota Kinabalu.

In their noodle house, the top recommended menu will be their signature fried fish with their homemade recipe.  This is from their Teow Chew style home cooking firstly fried then stewed with bean sauce, soya sauce mixed with ‘chai bu’ vege and homemade sauce, only found in Ocean King.  Besides, for sure their clear fresh soup base boiled with salted vege and tomato is one of the signature and most wanted by their visitors with choices of noodle topped with seafood and fish mixed such fishball, fish cake, fish paste and fish stringe.  Taken together with their homemade chili sauce make the perfect match.  Somemore, the Tom Yam sup choice with fresh or fried fish slice, fish skin, fish stomach, fish lips or fish mixed too their top saleable menu.  For those who do not like soup, the famous signature fried ‘Tung Fan’ topped fresh prawn served in claypot also must try and the best choice.  Nonetheless, other than seafood, the noodle house also serving appertizer home recipe Thai Style Chicken Feet which served in spicy mixed with onions, tomato and veges.
