Mr. Ng Kok Cheu who local origin born in 1965 with age of 49 years old currently is the founder of famous “Ka Ka Lok Restaurant” Hong Kong Porridge together with wife Madam Koo Hong Siaa with age 45 years old recently are the immediate owners operating their own hong kong porridge restaurant for the past 20 years.

Mr. Ng who from kids engaged with his mother’s family which in food and beverage industry doing chinese ‘kuih’ been generated their own home recipe.  In the year 1985 at his age of about 20 years old, Mr. Ng left his hometown travelled all the way to Brunei stepped into the industry by operating his food supply career producing his home recipe chinese tradition ‘yiu tiao’ and other ‘kuih’ for about 7 years intill 1992.  Between the period, he met his so called master ‘Ah Liang’ in Brunei who that time was a chinese dim sum chef from Hong Kong, after tasted his home recipe porridge Mr. Ng realise the market opportunity in Malaysia and having interest in doing the Hong Kong style porridge finally learnt the recipe from his master later on returned to Johor in the years 1992.

Eventually established his very first owned restaurant in the year 1993 known “Ka Ka Lok Restaurant” in Johor Bahru, operating with wife Madam Koo who formerly an hair stylist quit her career joined husband serving their hong kong porridge. While their children Ng Hwee Yin (eldest daughter), Ng Ching Tat (elder son) and Ng Min Fei (youngest son) assisting in the restaurant in order to further expose their family recipe hong kong porridge to the public.

In this porridge restaurant, their Hong Kong Style Porridge will be sure the top recommended must try which in about five choices such as rotten egg with pork, fresh fish slice, veges pork ribs, deep fried intestine and tradition hong kong style ‘ting chai’ porridge which insided with peanuts, octopus and chicken.  According to Mr. Ng, their porridge base which boiled more than 2 hours with associate measurement will be main recipe base to serve an quality exotic hong kong porridge.  Secondly will be his secret recipe braised chicken feet which is his creation converted from chinese dim sum chicken feet recipe, with his home recipe sauce is one of the most wanted signature menu in the restaurant.  Besides, the Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun with choices of ‘char siew’ and prawn or mixture poured with their own home recipe sauce too cannot missed when stepped into the shop.  Others, the Claypot Porridge insided with fresh seafood such fresh fish slice, octopus, abalone slice, sea prawn and ginger slice brings the best eatery taste when put into mouth.  As side dish, their Deep Fried Pork Intestine also top recommended in menu, intestine boiled for 2 hours after cleaning before deep fried presenting the amazing crispy bite and chewing taste.
