Malaysian traditional well known ‘Ipoh Bean Sprout Chicken Rice’, not only favourite by locals but also most of the visitors.  Now, the Yeong’s family who originated from Ipoh, Perak presenting their home made recipe bean sprout chicken rice at Ulu Tiram, Johor which founded by Mr. Yeong Chee Hoong who from Tanjung Tualang, Perak with the age of 58 years old recently, the “Hoong Xing Ipoh BeanSprout Chicken Rice” operating together with wife Ms. Choh Poh Hing and sons Mr. Shawn Yeong and Mr. Yeong Sin Joe.

Mr. Yeong who born in year 1956 touched the food industry since his age of 15 years old in the year 1972 worked part time as kitchen assistant during school off initially helping parents in financial burden for about 3 years in Ipoh.  Later on he decided to sacrifice his education then recruited himself into the ‘Xin Yuan Restaurant’, an hainan chicken rice shop began stepped into the chicken rice career at his age of 18 years old for another 2 years before left his home town.  In the year 1977, Mr. Yeong travelled to Singapore further exposed his career in f&b industry joining an roasted chicken rice food stall in the town food court from his age of 20 years old untill year 1983 in order to sharpen his profession and experience.  While in the same year he returned to Ipoh established his very first chicken rice shop named ‘Xin Hong Loong Restaurant’ then in the year 2005 moved to Kuala Lumpur to explore 3 outlets of his ’5 Star Chicken Rice’ commenced from Jalan Panglima for about 3 years before moved to Selangor Subang area in year 2008 for a year.

While in the year 2011, Mr. Yeong again returned to Ipoh established the “Fei Kee Seafood Restaurant” at Sri Brotani for another 2 years. In order to be aside with sons who working in Singapore, Mr. Yeong and wife decided to base their career in Johor, then started their journey initially at Austin Height with business partners serving their home recipe chicken rice then finally in the year 2014 successfully established their very owned Ipoh bean sprout chicken rice “Hoong Xing Ipoh BeanSprout Chicken Rice” at Jalan Sasa, Ulu Tiram assist by sons.
