‘Hand Made Fish Ball’ which nowadays seldom practiced in the 21st century still can be found in South Malaysia, the state of Johor.  Ms. Nyew Yeok Moe who is local origin born in year 1961 together with husband Mr. Liang Ah Ng who with age of 54 currently are the owners of the both “Restoran Kit Lai” and “Restoran Kit Poh” in Johor presenting their exotic hand made fish ball.

Ms. Nyew who with age of 54 years old recently, been generation passed the recipe and tradition hand made fish ball initially stepped into the food industry at her age of 22 years old in the year 1983.  She running a food stall selling home recipe yong tau fu and her hand made fish ball noodles in ‘Wan Li Xiang’, Johor for about 3 years before moved to Segamat, Johor continue operating a food stall in the year 1986 for another 2 years.  While in year 1988, Ms. Nyew reached Singapore to under employed for a year later on returned to Johor Bahru re-stepped into the f&b industry in year 1989 establised her fish ball and home recipe laksa career at Jalan Dedap for about 11 years.

Subsequent to the great response from public and visitors, her husband Mr. Liang who also born in the year 1961 formerly in furniture industry quit then together with wife Ms. Nyew finally formed their very 1st and owned specialize shop named “Restoran Kit Poh” at Taman Kota Masai in the year 2000, then expanded to second outlet “Restoran Kit Lai” at Taman Johor Jaya in the year 2013 serving their home recipe foods.

Their second generation Ms. Vivian (elder daughter) currently assisting in the main outlet, and Ms. Seline Liang She Ying (second daughter) and Ellen Liang She Ting (youngest daughter) assisting in Jalan Rosmerah outlet presenting family’s home recipe choices.

In these restaurant, surely their hand made home recipe fish ball and fish cake will be top recommended in menus which personally produced by the founder Ms. Nyew using the mixture of fresh yellow tail fish and ‘xi tao’ fish brings the best chewing in bites.  Secondly will be their Braised Pork Rice which also one of the signature food in the restaurant served rice sided with 1.5 hours braised pork belly with combination of five ingredients brings the best eatery.  Others, their recipe Vinegar Pork Trotter too the most wanted by regulars which boiled for more than 1.5 hours then served hot in claypot be the perfect match.  Also in mee menu, you can try their Sarawak dry kon lao mee served topped with pork minced, char siew and veges also favourites by visitors.  Stewed Minced Pork boiled for 2 hours served with rice brings the exotic taste.  While in side order corner, their signature Traditional Fried Meat Ball which made mixture of fresh pork, egg and 5 secret ingredients is one of the most saleable in the restaurant.  Nonetheless, Ms. Nyew have created her newly Pumpkin Flavour mee hoon kueh which having great response from her regulars, served in soup base topped by fried ikan bilis, pork slice, meat ball and veges you cannot missed when stepped into “Restoran Kit Poh” and “Restoran Kit Lai”
