Mr. Chai Fen Woon who originated from Perak born in the year 1954 recently in Johor is the founder and with wife Ms. Chin Yook Fong who with age of 57 years old recently, are the owners of the famous traditional charcoal boiled teo chew bak kut teh “Restoran Si Hua” at Taman Johor Jaya, state of Johor.
Chai Fen Woon who with age of 60 currently, former in agriculture trading industry for more than 20 years stepped into the food and beverage career since his age of about 46 years old in 1999. After quit his former enterpreneur, he been offered and been generation passed traditional bak kut teh recipe by a good friend who also know as his master ‘Oh Nga’ called by Chai. From there he realised his interest and started to expose his f&b career by established his very first bak kut teh restaurant named “Restoran Si Hua” presenting the traditional charcoal boiled teo chew bak but teh served in bowl at Jalan Rosmerah, Johor at the end of year 1999 began his food industry journey with wife Ms. Chin who is local origin.
While Mr. Chai second generation Ms. Chai Yen Sun (Ah B) who born in year 1985 with age of 28 years old recently, touched the industry since teenager helping parents in their restaurant later on in the year 2000 at her age of 15 years old initially stepped into the food industry untill recent to be the second generation owner of this oldies traditional charcoal bak kut teh.
In this restaurant, their traditional teo chew bak kut teh which boiled using charcoal more than an hour will be the top recommended menu.
