The local origin Madam Ng Yan Chin who born in the year 1960 with 35 years in the food and beverage industry is the recent owner of the “U Choose Wantan Noodle” mee house at Johor Bahru serving her home recipe curry mee, handmade wantan mee and katong laksa which also known as ‘Singapore Laksa’.

Madam Ng grown up in a f&b family initially touched the industry since her age of 13 years old helping father in their school canteen food stall.  The 54 years old currently Madam Ng stepped into the industry at her age of 18 years old operating too a canteen stall in ‘Foon Yew High School’ at Stulang Laut, Johor in the year 1978 for about 11 years untill year 1989, then take a break as housewife.

While in the year 1994, Madam Ng again expose in her career re-stepped into the industry running a bigger canteen stall in the same high school for another 12 years reached 2006.  From a little girl know nothing about cooking been experienced more than 20 years in the food industry sharpen her profession and with the mission to go further, she successfully in the year 2007 operating her very first commercial mee house in Taman Nusa Bestari 2 presenting her variety home recipe mee and satong laksa named the “U Choose Wantan Noodle” began her enterpreneurship.

Her second generation daughter Ms. Chan Mei Yin and son in law Mr. Low Hoe Gin both originated from Johor born in 1990s stepped into the industry in year 2009 after marriage helping Madam Ng in the mee house.  Mr. Low who himself also the 3rd generation from his wantan mee family which still operating at Ulu Tiram, Johor established from his grandmother.  Recently, Mr. Low and wife have taken up the responsibility to own and operating “U Choose Wantan Noodle” since year 2010 after been generation passed on by mother in law Madam Ng serving their home recipe to the public.

In this restaurant or mee house, their Katong Laksa which also known ‘Singapore Laksa’ will be the top recommended among the menu.  Soup base boiled more than 2 hours with Madam Ng’s 6 recipe ingredients bring the best taste likes by their regulars.  Served mixture with boiled egg, shell meat, bean sprout, tau ki (fu chuk), tau pok and fish cake slice makes a complete full bowl of Katong Laksa famous ordered daily, moreover poured in quality coconut milk (santan) will brings the exotic eatery must try.  Secondly will be their handmade Wantan Mee with the choices of with black soya sauce, red chilli sauce, white original taste, black pepper taste and tomato sause.  Handmade noodle topped with char siew slice and soup wantan is the signature found in the restaurant not only wanted by regulars but also visitors.  Others, Madam Ng’s home recipe Dry Curry Chicken Mee also one of the most recommended in menu served with boiled potato cubes inside.  At side order corner, their soup Dumpling wrapped insided with fresh pork meat, prawn and fish meat brings the chewing tasty eatery.  Their handmade crispy Deep Fried Wantan inside of pork meat also been served on every single table in the restaurant.  One more must try when stepped into “U Choose Wantan Noodle” mee house will be their Braised Chicken Feets which you never regret after tried.
