The Negeri Sembilan originated Mr. Chong Kwe Faa (Ah Faa) who born in the year 1969 is the founder and immediate owner of the “Restoran Zhi Ren” chinese cuisine seafood restaurant in Johor Bahru serving his 30 years experience home recipe to the locals and visitors

Ah Faa who with his age of 45 years old currently, initially touched the food industry in Johor working as kitchen helper in ‘Heng Kee Economy Rice’ food stall at Taman Sri Tebrau for a year in 1983 since his age of 13 years old.  After that stepped into food cooking career in the year 1984 reached Penang, Malaysia joined an local chinese cuisine restaurant as kitchen assistant for another year began his profession in the industry.  Later on, in order to expose further and strengthen his career, Ah Faa travelled to East Malaysia (Sabah) for about 2 years brushed up to become a chef in Tawau under-employed in a chinese cuisine food stall.

While in the year 1988, Ah Faa returned to Johor Bahru been recruited in Taman Sri Tebrau as Main Chef further explore in his profession for another 3 years before he took a break stepped into and experienced fresh vegetables supplies for a year.  In year 1992, he decided to again expose his cooking career then joined the ‘Su Li Ta Restaurant’ at Taman Johor Jaya, Johor Bahru as Main Chef and in charge of the restaurant for about 3 years.  After that take over the ownership as partnership operating his first enterprenuership for another 3 years.

With experience hold and mission to have his very owned restaurant, Ah Faa successfully established his 1st owned restaurant in Taman Johor Jaya named “Restoran Zhi Ren” in the year 2000, then moved to Jalan Dedap 24 in the year 2010 untill recent serving his exotic home recipe with assist by his younger son Mr. Chong Kah Seng who born in year 1992 stepped into the industry at his age of 21 years old.

In this chinese cuisine seafood restaurant, the top recommended menu by the owner Ah Faa will be their Claypot Brown Bean Fish Head which must try when stepped into “Restoran Zhi Ren”.  Fresh sea fish head cutted into cube pieces, fried with Ah Faa’s 5 ingredients recipe with ginger and brown beans then boiled in claypot brings the best eatery.  Secondly will be their Dry Fried Curry Prawn which using fresh sea prawn presenting the top freshness when served on table.  Fresh local sea prawn with shell-off fried with curry powder and their 12 ingredients recipe then served on plate with top exotic taste and presenting the prawn meat texture chewing in bites.  Moreover, Ah Faa also introducing his Kampung Chicken Fried with Ginger too one of the signature choice most wanted in the restaurant not only by local regulars but also visitors.  Village chicken or locally known ‘Kampung Chicken’ fried with ginger slice added on their home recipe ingredients you will never regret after taken in this home recipe chinese cuisine seafood “Restoran Zhi Ren”.
