Mr. Thomas Hang You Hong who is local origin born in year 1968 was the founder and recently the immediate owner of the “Restoran Happy Land 21″ kulai bitter gourd soup restaurant.
Thomas Hang who with age of 47 years old recently, was formerly in furniture industry since year 1986 for about 14 years before initially stepped into food & beverage industry in the year 2000. Thomas from teenagers’ having great interest in eatery and cooking, with addition his mother’s (Chin Siow Fong, age 74) homemade recipe enabled Thomas touched the industry began with a food stall in the ‘Loong Chen Kopitiam’ (pronouns) at Jalan Besar, Kulai in millenium year presenting their homemade recipe bitter gourd soup and hakka recipe dishes for about few years. Later on moved to Skudai continued his exposures in the industry.
While in year 2003, subsequent to the great response from his regulars and the public visitors, Thomas returned to Kulai successfully established his very first bitter gourd soup specialize shop at 21 miles, Kulai named “Restoran Happy Land 21″ with assisting by lovely wife Ms. Ong Chai Geok operating untill year 2009. Afterwards again moved to Sentosa shoplot continued to expose reached 2013, serving not only bitter gourd soup but also variety of Thomas’s recipe hakka and local cuisine recipe.
In year 2013, they have based the “Restoran Happy Land 21″ at Taman Nam Tak, Kulai to recent. Also their second generation son Mr. Hang Dao Yee who locally born in year 1996 too from kids helping parents in their restaurant during school off. Thomas’s kulai taste recipe bitter gourd soup also in the year 2013 been reached Ampang, Kuala Lumpur and then another in Puchong, Selangor in year 2014.
