The local originated Johorean Teo Chew generation Mr. Albert Ong Lip Tat who born locally in year 1977 was the founder and the immediate owner of the traditional teo chew kuey teow chai restaurant “Solid Cafeteria” in Johor, Malaysia presenting his home herbal soup base recipe.

Mr. Albert Ong who with age of 37 years old currently, is in Logistic Transportation Industry having great interest in cooking eatery and specially taken kuey teow chai since kids, initially stepped into the food and beverage industry in year 2004 at his age of 27 years old established his Lok Lok career in Permas Jaya, Johor named ‘China Street’ then converted into Kuey Teow Chai specialize restaurant after a while, then named “Solid Cafeteria” Zhu Chuan Kuey Teow Chai.  From there, Albert Ong studied not only how to cook an exotic kuey teow chai but very deeply studied the advantages and combination of chinese herbals which good to human being health, using to present his home recipe herbals soup base to the public.

After about 18 months operating his home recipe kuey teow chai career in Permas Jaya, subsequent to the great response from the public enabled him to further explore in the industry then successfully moved and based his specialize restaurant into the recent location at Jalan Bakawali, Taman Johor Jaya since year 2006, afterwards been expanded into two lots after a year.  Began with only about 10 choices available untill recently more than 15 choices can be tasted in the “Solid Cafeteria” traditional kuey teow chai.

In this traditional kuey teow chai restaurant, you never missed the top recommended kuey teow soup base boiled for three hours with giant bones then follow up by mixed into selected chinese herbals and Albert’s more than 15 ingredients boiled for another hour before served brings the exotic kuey teow chai in town.  Secondly will be the Pork Skin which gone through steps in cleaning, then boiled untill all the fats exposed then braised hours brings the top chewing when taken into mouth will be the top signature among the menus in the restaurant you will never regret after consumed.  Tradition Braised Taufu which fried before boiled and Braised egg cooked with their home recipe will always the perfect match with a bowl of Kuey Teow Chai.  Besides, Pork Intestine, Stomach and other Pork Internal Parts also braised hourly with different home herbals recipe also among those most wanted by regulars and visitors when reach ‘Solid Cafeteria’.  Moreover, cannot aside nowadays when taking kuey teow chai will be their Signature Braied Duck which boiled specially using Albert’s home recipe then poured onto with their home sauce presenting the best eatery especially the duck meat texture when bites.  Nonetheless, the Salted Vegetables too will be served on each table must try when stepped into this well known traditional teo chew kuey teow chai restaurant “Solid Cafeteria”.  At beverage corner, no wondering with the founder Albert Ong’s knowledge and studied deeply on chinese herbals, everyday will serve their home cooked herbal drinks in warm and cold which suits to locals during summer day.
