The North Malaysia originated Mr. Lai Kam Choo who having 40 years cooking eatery experience born in Ipoh, Perak in year 1959 was the founder and together with his son Mr. Steve Lai Han Wai who born in year 1985 are the owners of the local famous “Mun Mun Delicious Seafood Restaurant” in Johor, assisting by wife Madam Choo Mooi Chin and elder daugther Ms. Eve Lai Ching Fong.

Lai Kam Choo who with his age of 55 years old recently stepped into the food and beverage industry since year 1973 reached Klang, Selangor been recruited into a chinese cuisine restaurant as kitchen helper at his age of 14 years old began his career journey spent years to become a chef then joined the ‘Blue Wave Hotel’ in Shah Alam, Selangor as main chef from year 1995 untill year 2002 before he travelled to further expose his experience reached United Kingdom (UK).

While his son Mr. Steve Lai who with age of 29 years old currently, affected by father’s career been stepped into the f&b industry since his age of 18 years old after his education in year 2003 brought into by father joined the ‘Lake View Restaurant’ (pronouns) in Sunway, Selangor as kitchen helper for about one and a half year, then under-employed in a chinese cuisine restaurant for another 9 months in Kuala Lumpur to expose his profession.  Afterwards joined his uncle’s restaurant ‘Tai Ka Lok Restaurant’ (pronouns) as second chef in Klang for another half year.  In order to sharpen his cooking experience, Steve recruited himself into a western & chinese cuisine ‘Cafe House’ continued his explosure for a year, then end his employment at ‘E&E Restaurant” serving chinese cuisine in Klang for about 2 years again to strengthen his profession.

In year 2010, father Lai Kam Choo founded their family first very owned restaurant in Klang, Selangor operating together with Steve named “Zham Bee Restaurant” presenting their home recipe specificly in Hakka cuisine for a year, then moved to South Malaysia, Johor further expose in Taman Setia Indah, Johor Bahru successfully established the “Mun Mun Delicious Seafood Restaurant” in August 2011 for another 2 year.  Subsequent to the great response from regulars enabled them to expose into Taman Adda Height, the recent location since year 2013.

In this delicious seafood restaurant, the top recommended by chef will be their Chinese Rice Wine Tilapia Fish which steamed boiled fresh tilapia fish in claypot with their very own home recipe sauce mixed with garlic, ginger slice, oyster sauce and 8 secret recipe ingredients which is father Mr. Lai’s recipe been introduced brings the exotic taste must try.  Secondly will be their Dry Chili Prawn Mantis Meat, which firstly deep fried the prawn mantis meat untill crispy after marinated with home recipe then poured into fried mixed with dry chili before served.  Another to present the Salted Egg Yolk Squid which also one of their signature which deep fried marinated squids then fried with salted egg yolk presenting the best eatery you can find in Mun Mun.  For those who like curry must order their Claypot Curry Fish Head which boiled fresh red fish head with their curry paste made from more than 10 recipe ingredients served mixture of vegetables and dry fried beancurd is the most wanted by their regulars.  Moreover, the Claypot Salted Fish Pork also one of the recommended among menu.  Nonetheless, for those who can take spicy cannot missed their home recipe Curry Paste Lala when stepped into the “Mun Mun Delicious Seafood Restaurant”.
