JAYSON ANG PRESENTING HIS COMBINATION OF LOCAL AND WESTERN CUISINE TO SERVE THE PUBLIC IN ‘MENU PLEASE’
The local young outstanding Chef, Johorean Mr. Jayson Ang Jee Sen who born in year 1987, also the Gold Medal holder for ‘Food Hotel Asia 2012′ competition in individual Plate Dishes category held in Singapore, was the founder and bodied up with elder sister Ms. Ang Pei Ching and friend Tiang Yee Jye together owned the “Menu Please Bistro” at Johor Bahru.
Jayson Ang who with his age of only 26 years old currently, having great interest in cooking eatery since teenager, and subsequent to the supports from parents and family enabled Jayson registered himself into the ‘SHATEC’ academy in Bukit Batok, Singapore in year 2007 spent his two year time to graduate from the Diploma in Culinary Skills course began his f&b career. During his final practical year as trainee in the ’4 Season Hotel’, Singapore been given chances to experience in different cuisine department to sharpen his cooking skills reached year 2009.
Later on Jayson been recruited into a nursing home as in-house chef served for about half year the again successfully grapped the opportunity to again joined the ’4 Season Hotel’ under-employed as chef in the ’190 Restaurant’ serving western cuisine for another 9 months further his explosure in the industry. Afterwards recommended by his senior colleague Chef Kevin joined the ‘Marina Bay Sands’ in banquet department also continued exposed in western cuisine in the year 2010 at Singapore for another 2 and a half year to strengthen his profession before returned to home country Johor, Malaysia end of 2012.
With the experience hold by Jayson and supports from his current partner Tiang Yee Jye and sister Pei Ching, successfully established their first and owned local and western cuisine restaurant named “Menu Please Bistro” in November 2012 at Taman Maju Jaya, Johor introducing Jayson’s home recipe menus, with assisting by his lovely wife Ms. Lim Jia Yin who is local origin.
In this bistro and restaurant, the chef’s top recommended in menu will be their Sesame Duck Salad which is the combination of chinese and western cuisine. Duck smoked for 5 hours then served topped with his home made peking duck sauce on smoked duck boneless brest meat mixed with fresh vegetables brings the exotic taste. Secondly will be the signature Handmade Wasabi Prawn Pizza which is the combination of japanese and western cuisine topped mixed with home made wasabi, bonito flakes and fresh prawn presenting the best eatery, also one of the most wanted by their regulars. For those who take lamb must try their Braised Lamb Shank which braised for 3.5 hours with Jayson’s secret recipe sauce made from about 8 ingredients served sided with potato salad and vegetables. Others, the Russian traditional dish Salmon Coulibiac also available in the restsurant which pastry wrapped insided with rice, mushroom, spinash and salmon baked for about 15 minutes before served on plate. While in the dessert corner, one of the recommended will be Jayson’s expert Warm Chocolate Cake sided by scoop of ice-cream you cannot missed when stepped into the “Menu Please Bistro”.
