The Ansun, Perak North Malaysian originated Mr. Low Choon Hing who born in year 1972, into his 27 years experience in the cooking eatery career was the immediate founder of the famous locally known “Fei Zi Seafood Restaurant”, together with his lovely wife Ms. Chai Yuet Har who at her age of 41 years old both are the recent owners of the seafood restaurant in Johor Bahru.

Mr. Low or known Chef Fei Zi who at his age of 42 years old currently, initially stepped into the food and beverage industry since year 1986 at his age of only 15 been recruited by an local famous chinese cuisine restaurant named ‘Steel Bridge Restaurant’(pronouns) as kitchen trainee began his career in the industry spent 3 years been promoted to chef helper then another four year (total 7 years) to sharpen his profession in the restaurant, where he met his wife Ms. Chai, was the employee in the restaurant.

In order to expose further, Chef Fei Zi reached Singapore joined a chinese cuisine restaurant at his age of 22 years old in year 1994, stayed about 3 years in Singapore to experienced more and strengthen his career.  Later on in year 1997 he returned to Malaysia based in Johor Bahru established his very first and owned food stall in ‘Da Zou Kopitiam’(pronouns) at Taman Perling serving his chinese cuisine recipe for about 3 years.  Subsequent to the great response from locals and visitors enable Chef Fei Zi together with his wife expanded their career into shoplot in year 2000, moved into a corner commercial lot at Taman Perling, Johor Bahru named “Fei Zi Seafood Restaurant” operating to recent.

Among the menus, Chef Fei Zi’s top recommendation will be his Signature Deep Fried Dry Mee Hun which mixed into home made chili sauce then deep fried into solid served on plate you must try when reached Johor Bahru.  Secondly will be their Fragrant Crab which using fresh local crab fried with mixture of dried shrimp, chilis, onions, garlic and dry chilis brings the exotic spicy taste, also one of the most wanted by his regulars.  For those who cannot take spicy can try their Salted Egg Crab with Butter Milk or Salted Egg Oval Crab mainly fried with egg yolk in dry serving, both you will never regret after consumed in this seafood restaurant.

Moreover in fish corner, the top recommended by chef will be their Signature Spicy Steamed Fish which taste sour and spicy like ‘Nyonya Assam’ but its totally different in recipe by Chef Fei Zi.  Fish steamed served topped with their home made sauce mixture of marinated baby shrimp or locally known ‘jenjaruk’, ginger paste, onions and his 10 secret ingredients recipe brings the best eatery in town.  Others will be their Garlic Chili Lala which fried with garlic, ginger shredded and chilis poured into their home boiled soup base, taste slight spicy and smooth into mouth.  While one more signature cannot missed when stepped into “Fei Zi Seafood Restaurant” will be the Claypot Home Style Kampung Chicken which the founder Chef Fei Zi kept secret to share the recipe, he wants visitors to taste personally when reached Johor Bahru, you will never regret after taken.
