The local born origin Mr. Ng Ngee Hock who with age of only 47 years old currently, was the founder and immediate owner of the fourteen years history “Restoran Abad Emas” seafood and chinese cuisine restaurant in Johor Bahru town, operating together with lovely wife Ms. Tai Siew Boey who originated from Melacca presenting their home recipe menu to the public.
Mr. Ng who born in year 1967 been grown up in Muar, Johor touched the food industry helping mother in their home base food stall since his age of only 9 years old, later on worked as part-timer as dim sum boy along his primary education during holiday and school off to earn his own pocket money. At his age of 14 years old have established his very 1st dim sum food stall with friend operating after school time and weekends to further exposed in the industry untill reach his 15th years old reached Kuala Lumpur stepped into the industry fully been running an Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun stall at Kepong, Kuala Lumpur for a year.
He spent about ten years strengthen his career in Kuala Lumpur also been doing economy rice and chicken rice before joined an chinese restaurant in Gombak as kitchen assistant or known ‘Ta Ho’ began his chefing experience, then been recruited into a seafood restaurant at Subang Jaya Airport road as sixth chef. In order to gain more experiences made him travelled to Singapore in year 1990 stayed ten years there sharpen his profession and returned to home town Johor Bahru established his very first restaurant in 2001 named “Restoran Abad Emas” with a shoplot at Taman Abad, expanded to another lot in year 2010. While his wife Ms. Tai joined in year 2005 untill now assisting husband in the restaurant mainly running the retail operations.
In this more than ten years chinese cuisine seafood restaurant, the top recommended in menu will be their traditional Signature Teo Chew Steamboat Fish Head which with option of fish head or fish meat on customer’s demand. Soup base boiled for a day with giant bones and matured chicken mixed cooked with fresh fish head, yam, veges, tomatoes and seaweed brings the exotic taste of a fish head pot in teo chew style been wanted by most of their regulars and visitors must try when reached Johor Bahru.
