The local originated Johorean, Mr. Tey Wei Kiong who born in year 1975 together with wife who was Melacca origin, Ms. Leong Hwei Yuen are the immediate owners of the “West Life Restaurant” or famously known recently “Ma Ma Mee Hun Kuey” operating assisted by family members at Batu Pahat, Johor serving traditional mother’s (Madam Tan Ah Ber born 1956) home recipe mee hun kuey and other chinese cuisines to the public.

Tey Wei Kiong who with his age of 39 years old currently, touched the food and beverage industry in Melacca when together with wife helping in family western food restaurant, been given opportunity to learn serving presentable and exotic western cuisines enabled them to stepped into the industry in year 2000 at their age of 25 years old established their very first owned western food restaurant at Jalan Penjaja, Batu Pahat named “West Life Restaurant”.  Other than western menus, they also serving Madam Tan’s (Mother) home recipe traditional mee hun kuey to various the choices to suit the market demand.

While in year 2006, they been moved to second location at Taman Maju for another two years to expose further untill year 2008, later on again moved to Taman Setia Jaya for another 3 years.  Subsequent to the great response on their mee hun kuey, they been finally decided to convert the restaurant into mee hun kuey specialized shop in year 2012 began at recent location named “Ma Ma Mee Hun Kuey” at Taman Flora Utama, also assisted by Tey’s mother, younger brother and sister

In this mee hun kuey restaurant, the top recommended menu nowadays will be their mother’s home recipe traditional handmade Mee Hun Kuey Soup, which using home made noodle produced from flur cooked in their recipe soup base boiled for at least 2 hours with giant bones, ikan bilis, yellow beans and matured chicken brings the exotic taste, served topped mixed of pork slice, meat ball, fish ball, tau kee, mali veges, fried onions and crispy fried ikan bilis.  Presenting a complete bowl of their signature Mee Hun Kuey Soup must try when reached Batu Pahat.

Secondly will be their home made Spinach Mee Hun Kuey, which handmade from mixture of spinach blended juices with flur to present the natural minerals from spinach, good for health.  Is also one of the most wanted by their regulars and visitors you never regret after taken.  Mee hun kuey in this restaurant been served in other choices such as tom yam soup, curry soup, dry tom yam and dry kon lou.  Dry Kon Lou Mee Hun Kuey which mixed with their home recipe soya sauce also one of the signature most recommended in the restaurant, clearly brings the texture of every single pieces of their home made mee hun kuey when bites in mouth.
