HOME RECIPE HAND MADE FISH BALL BY ANTHEN KERK AND BROTHER IN-LAW DESMOND LIM IN SOUTH MALAYSIA BEGAN FROM FOOD STALL TO SPECIALIZED SHOP
“Hand Made Fishball” is one of the local traditional food taken by all religious and even visitors from around the world, subsequent to our rich natural seafood resources. The local originated Mr. Anthen Kerk Chu Eng who born in year 1985 and brother in-law Mr. Desmond Lim Wee Boon who born 1992, both were the founders of the “BP Fishball” noodle house. Recently been joined owners by Anthen’s sister Ms. Fraulein Kerk Siok Cheng presenting their home recipe hand made fish ball to the public.
Desmond’s parents, father Mr. Lim Koon Seng (61 years old) and mother Madam Tan Nyek Mooi who born in Negeri Sembilan in year 1960 initially were the starter on their home recipe hand made fish ball began their production in Kuantan, Pahang for a year in 2002. Later on moved to East Malaysia (Sabah) stepped into the food and beverage industry for another nearly eight years there, then re-stepped into fish ball production in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur again supplied to the local market from 2010 to 2012.
Desmond who since his age of only 14 years old been stepped into f&b industry in Sabah, East Malaysia since year 2006 began as kitchen trainee been exposed became a Chef have bodied up with his brother in-law (sister’s husband) Anthen Kerk who formerly was in Banking industry returned to hometown Batu Pahat established their fish ball production business which recipe been generation passed onto by parents for about half a year but unsuccessfull, forced to run their very first food stall in the ‘Kampung Kopitiam’ at Taman Maju, Batu Pahat introducing their recipe fish ball noodles in year 2011 named “BP Fishball”.
Being great response from the public and visitors, enabled them to expand and moved into a specialized shop in year 2014 at Taman Setia Jaya not only selling fish ball noodles but various their menu to serve the market in variety choices all made from their home recipe fish raw materials. Also Anthen’s sister Fraulein Kerk joined them operating the noodle house which she initially stepped into the f&b industry from here.
In this restaurant, the top recommended in menus will be their Hand Made Fishball Noodle which fish ball hand made from ‘yellow tale’ fish cooked in their soup base which boiled for about 2 hours with yellow beans, ikan bilis and home recipe brings the best eatery in town, especially the fish ball texture itself when bites.
Secondly will be the Signature Curry Mee Soup which made from their home recipe curry paste from 8 ingredients mixture then insided with their home made yong tau foo choices made using ‘yellow tale’ fish paste home made you must try when reached Batu Pahat, Johor. Moreover, their Fish Head Mee Hun Soup also one of the most wanted by regulars and visitors which using ‘red fish’ or grouper fish head cooked in their an hour boiled soup base with salted veges and tomatoes then pored into fresh milk brings the exotic taste.
Others, Yong Tau Foo in eight choices of chili, bittergourd, tau kee, white taufu, eggplant, fried taufu, lady finger and dried taufu or locally known ‘tau pok’ insided with their hand made recipe fish paste made from fresh ‘yellow tale’ fish you never regret after taken. Nonetheless, their Signature Fried Fish Cake also recommended in “BP Fishball” noodle house which you cannot missed when stepped into the shop.
