Madam Lim Tick Yinn who born 1931 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was the founder, together with her two sons Mr. Jimmy Cheong Ship Chong born 1961 and Cheong Sip Liang born 1964 are the owners of the “Restoran Viet Yiang” Hakka yam rice and pork mixed soup at Johor, Malaysia.
Madam Lim Tick Yinn who with her age of 83 years old recently, who grown up in Kluang, Johor been 30 years in Consumer Goods Retailing Industry with husband initially stepped into the food and beverage industry in year 1986 at her age of 55 years old. With her interest in eatery and chefing skill, Madam Lim established her very first roadside food stall with no signboard name at Taman Nan Da selling fried mee for about two years then began to serve her home recipe Hakka style yam rice and pork mixed soup from year 1988.
From there, her daughters and sons helping in the stall to further expose their mother’s home recipe having great response from the public explore from beginning of 3 tables to 13 tables operating untill year 2002, been 16 years she running her roadside food stall.
While Jimmy Cheong who with his age of 53 currently, formerly in Sales & Marketing Industry for eight years in Kuala Lumpur returned to hometown Kluang in year 1989 assisting mother and stepped into the f&b industry. And youngest brother Cheong Sip Liang (Ah Liang) been 21 years exposed in Entertainment Industry in Johor Bahru back to Kluang in year 2011, bodied-up with Jimmy and mother successfully established their traditional Hakka yam rice specialized shop in year 2012 named “Restoran Viet Yiang” at Taman Intan, Kluang.
