The local origin Johorean, Mr. Law Chin Long who born year 1974 from Renggam, Johor was the founder of “Sam Kee BBQ Place Sdn. Bhd.”.  Recently together with his lovely wife Ms. Chan Aik Fong who also originated from Renggam, own and operating their home recipe roasted meat restaurant in Johor for more than fifteen years.

Law Chin Long or known Ah Long who with his age of 40 years old currently, initially touched the food and beverage industry since year 1994 reached Singapore been recruited as a retail assistant at his age of only 20 years old.  With the interest in eatery and been introduced by cousin successfully joined the local famous roasted house named “933 Roasted Duck” restaurant began his career.  Later on been aside his employer Mr. Tong as his personal assistant, then grapped an opportunity to approached and experienced the BBQ roasted recipe in their company centralized kitchen during his off time enabled Ah Long to stepped into f&b and chefing career.

While in year 1995 at his 21st, Ah Long returned to home town and established his very first and owned roasted food stall in ‘New Kim Loong Kopitiam’(pronouns)  at Kluang, Johor began his journey.  After 3 years exposed in the industry and getting great response from the public enabled Ah Long to further expose into a BBQ roasted specialized shop named “Sam Kee BBQ Place” at Jalan Lambak, Kluang in year 1998, which is the current main retail.  In year 1999 Ah Long too started his production and supply business capture the Johor market.

His wife Aik Fong who formerly was in Accountantcy Industry quit and joined husband stepped into the f&b industry since year 2004 operating the administration of the restaurant, allowed Ah Long further strengthen his enterprenuership in frozen meats and roasted duck production & supply career throughout the South Malaysia.

In this specialized BBQ restaurant, the founder’s top recommended in menus will be their home recipe traditional charcoal Roasted Duck, which using local fresh duck with weight of 2.6 to 2.7kg marinated with Ah Long’s secret ten ingredients mixture included chinese herbals then roasted for about 35 minutes above charcoal heat brings the best eatery in town.  Especially the juicy meats texture itself and the exotic taste that you must try when reached Kluang, Johor.

Secondly will be their signature BBQ Roasted Pork, the roasted pork belly served after an hour charcoal roast with crispy outer skin level in bites and ‘char siew’ which marinated with home recipe then roasted for about half an hour taste sweet and chewing in mouth also those most wanted and among best selling in the roasted house.

Moreover besides roasted menu, the Steamed Soup selections too recommended in 5 options.  They serve veges with spare ribs soup, matured cucumber with spare ribs, lotus root with chicken feet & ground nuts, chinese herbal village chicken soup and Sichuan veges with spare ribs all steamed for two hours brings very healthy eatery to their visitors.  Suit to all range of age you never regret after consumed.

Nonetheless, their Roasted Chicken served poured onto their in-house recipe sauce, boiled vegetables options, stewed chicken egg and stewed beancurd or called locally ‘taufu’ also favourites by their regulars and visitors when stepped into the “Sam Kee BBQ Place” at Jalan Lambak, Kluang.
