The Batu Pahat origin Mr. Tan Sen Ben who born in year 1952 been half century 50 years in food and beverage industry was the founder of “Kedai Makan & Minum ATAP-OD” in South Malaysia, recently been operating by his second generation Mr. Tan Poh Siong who born 1987 continue presenting father’s home recipe to the public.

Tan Sen Ben who at his age of 62 years old currently, initially stepped into the f&b industry since years 1964 reached Singapore under-employed as helper in coffee house or known ‘kopi kia’ at his age of only 12 years old.  He been spent about 16 years in the career untill his age of 28, returned to home country Malaysia in 1980 based in Yong Peng, Johor established his very first and owned road side food corner with no name introducing his fook chew style traditional dry fried rough noodles and stewed noodles in home recipe for about 15 years.

Subsequent to the great response from the market and opportunity grapped enabled him to expand and moved into proper shoplot along Jalan Labis, Yong Peng further his explosure in the industry year 1995 formally named “Kedai Makan & Minum ATAP-OD”, for memories of his very initial first food corner built by ‘atap’ along road side years ago.

Among his six children, his only son Tan Poh Siong who with age of 27 recently initially touced the industry since kids helping parents in the noodle house committed stepped into the career in year 2011 at his 23 years old, later on take over the noodle house into 2nd generation began year 2013 further expose their family home recipe not only to locals but also visitors.

In this noodle house, the founder’s top recommended in menus will be his Signature Fried Noodles in fook chew style also known ‘Fook Chew Noodle’.  Which rough yellow noodles fried then stewed for about 10 minutes with their soup base boiled all day with pork and chicken bones mixed of their secret recipe mixtures, then added into pork slice, fresh prawn, chicken and veges bring the exotic salted and sweet taste you must try when passed by Yong Peng, Johor.

Secondly will be their Stewed Noodles with Vinegar, likely to their fried noodle stewed for longer time with pork slice, prawn, chicken and veges poured into slight black vinegar and chicken egg served in wetty sauces base.  One of the best eatery in town, also among the top selling in the restaurant most wanted by their regulars and visitors.

Others, Mr. Tan’s signature owned recipe Dry Fried Noodles also among the top recommended selection which rough yellow noodles fried for about 5-6 minutes with his home recipe ingredients mixtures with pork, chicken, prawn and beansprouts then added into chicken egg bring another very outstanding plate of ‘ATAP-OD Signature Mee’ you never regret after taken.

Moreover, their Fook Chew Egg Soup and Singapore Fried Mee Hun are also those you cannot missed when stepped into the “ATAP-OD” at Yong Peng, Johor.  Soup boiled poured into chicken egg and cooked insided mixed of pork minced brings the smoothness of the soup when swallowed into mouth and taste slight sour with insided black vinegar and fried rice noodle or ‘mee hun’ with beansprouts and egg both make you say ‘Delicious’.
