“Roasted Mix” is one of the famous eatery frequently practised in our country, favourites by lots of local public and visitors.  Also almost can be found everywhere in the nation including the Historic City Penang in the South.

The Kuala Lumpur originated Mr. Ng Pak Fah who born in year 1976 was the founder and the immediate owner of the “Restoran Wah Chai” roasted mix specialized shop operating in Pulau Pinang introducing his home recipe roasted duck, chicken and pork to the locals at Bayan Lepas.

Ng Pak Fah or knownly ‘Wah Chai’ who with his age of 38 years old recently, was formerly a Shoe-Maker for more than 10 years in Kuala Lumpur later on stepped into the food industry began as the ‘barbeque pork’ retailer in Serdang, Kuala Lumpur for about ten years.  With his great interest in eatery and roasted mix enabled Wah Chai to start his roasted mix career in year 2005 at Penang, supplying to the market named “Wah Chai Roasted”.

After few years explosure in the market, Wah Chai established his very first food stall in Tanjong Tokong, Penang serving his roasted mix to the locals since year 2009.  And finally end his food stall career in the ‘Restoran Kuta Bali’ at Paya Terubong reached 2014 before his expansion to establish his specialized shop “Restoran Wah Chai” roasted duck, chicken and pork mix at Bayan Lepas continue to further expose in the industry.

In this roasted house, Wah Chai’s top recommended in menus will be his home recipe Roasted Duck.  Fresh local duck with weight of about 2.5kg been selected, overnight marinated with his 9 ingredients mixture including herbals after cleaned, then dry-up for at least another 10 hours before his half an hour roast brings the exotic roasted duck you must try, especially the duck skin and the duck meat texture itself when bites.

Secondly will be their Roasted Pork Belly or locally known ‘Sau Nyuk’.  Local pork belly selected marinated with Wah Chai’s 6 mixtures of secret recipes then roast for about an hour presenting the crispy and tasty roasted pork skin level, and the juicy meat textures when consumed.  It also one of the most wanted by his regulars and visitors.

Others, the Roasted Pork or known ‘Char Siew’ too among the signature in the restaurant.    Their delicious char siew prepared with 10 ingredients mixture marinated then roast for another half hour with traditional honey sweet paste coated brings the very authentic food eatery found in town.

Nonetheless, surely Roasted Chicken cannot be aside in a roasted mix restaurant.  Wah Chai using 2 in 1, roast and deep fried in preparing his roasted chicken to brings crispy outer skin and to maintain the juicy meat textures when served.  Chicken with weight of 1.7kg will be the best according to the owner.  After marinated with his in-house recipes, roast for only about 20 minutes then deep fried for another 5 minutes before served will be one of the best eatery you cannot missed when stepped into the “Restoran Wah Chai” roasted house in Pulau Pinang.
