TEOH FATHER & DAUGHTER INTRODUCING THEIR HOME GENERATION RECIPES TO THE VISITORS IN “COWBOY STREET”

The local Penang originated Mr. Teoh Bok Seng who born in year 1956 is the second generation, together with his daughter Ms. Catherine Teoh Yuan Xing (born 1991) were the founders and immediate owners of the “Cowboy Street Cafe” Chinese and Western Cuisines restaurant in George Town introducing their signature menus to the public.
In 1950s, this restaurant been established by Mr. Teoh Ah Goo (Catherine’s grandfather) who born in China during 1920s, reached George Town, Penang stepped into the industry began his kopitiam named “Seng Hong Cafe” along Victoria Road, Penang. Later on Teoh Bok Seng (Catherine’s father) who took over the kopitiam after his education in year 1976 continued father’s traditional eatery and beverage recipe exposed untill year 2012.
While Catherine Yeoh who with her age of 23 years old recently, touched the food industry since year 2009 at her age of only 18 years old running a noodle food stall in the ‘Sungai Pinang Food Court’ began her career in the industry for about 2 years. With her great interest in eatery and wishing to expose family career further allowed Catherine to join her father in year 2012, convert their family kopitiam into fusion cafe established with father their “Cowboy Street Cafe” under the same roof serving more variety choices in menus on chinese and western cuisines combination, also their family 3 generations traditional authentic recipes.
In Cowboy Street, the founder’s top recommended in menus will be their home made Red Wine Chicken or locally known Red Dates Chicken mostly served with white rice or mee sua in options, one of the traditional Fook Chew religious food taken thousand years ago. Red dates used been prepared overnight then stir fried with fresh chicken added into their 4 ingredients mixture, then poured into their homemade red wine brings a bowl of exotic generation eatery you must have a try when reached Georgetown.
Secondly will be their Hand Made Fook Chew Fish & Meat Ball, also the top selling signature in the cafe restaurant.
