In North Malaysia, Penang found an authentic seafood chinese western cuisine restaurant carried by mother and son in “Yummy Cuisine” serving various exotic home recipe menus to the locals being recognized in year 2015 having great response from their regulars and visitors.

The local originated Ms. May Soon Ai Boey who born in year 1968 was the founder and the initial immediate owner of the chinese restaurant “CBY Yummy Cuisine” introducing their outstanding seafood and chinese recipes to the public under a roof, being assisted by son Lim Chi Siong (born 1992) who awarded the ’2013 Outstanding Junior Chef’ held at Esteen Hotel Penang and the bronze holder in ‘Starits Quay Battle of The Chefs 2013′ as one of the restaurant’s important chef exposed years in Sungai Ara towards succeed.

May Soon who at her age of 47 years old currently, stepped into the food and beverage industry since year 1992 at her age of 24 years old reached Bukit Tambun, Butterworth running her very first seafood cuisine food stall in the “Fook Keong Kopitiam” (pronouns) for about 6 years where she began her f&b career in the industry.  Later on in year 1998 moved into Sungai Ara continued her explosure at Desaria business centre operating her food stall running for another 10 years untill 2008.

Subsequent to the great response and forseen the career potential enabled May Soon to successfully established her very owned chinese & western cuisine restaurant along Jalan Dato’ Ismail Hashim in year 2009 officially named “CBY Yummy Cuisine” being asissted by elder brother Soon Beng Lean as main chef, and seconded by Lee Seng Keong and son Chi Siong as assistant chefs all bodied-up been recognized one of the best eating house in town.

In this restaurant, the chef’s top recommended in menus will be their Sizzling Seafood Plater which prepared in combination of sea ‘ming’ prawn, grouper fish slice and squid as their top seller recently.  Seafoods stir fried with their home recipe sauce made from 10 ingredients mixtures then served boiled on sizzling plater mixed into lady finger, season bean, onion, chilli and long bean brings exotic spicy taste you must try.

Secondly will be their Portugese Steamed Fish, also one of the signature most wanted by regulars.  Commonly snapper red fish or ‘ma yoa’ fish selected steamed with their in-house portugese sauce from more than 10 spices brings the sour, sweet and spicy taste you never regret after taken.  Will be the favourites by especially those who like spicy.

Another only found in this restaurant will be their home made Delicious Otak-otak, which made from mixture of grouper fish, chicken egg, coconut milk and home secret spices then steamed for about 10 minutes before served will be one of the best authentic eatery found in town you cannot aside.

Moreover, the owner also introduced their special Green Curry cooked mixed with chicken, prawn, fish and squid which prepared in their home made green curry paste mainly made from green chillies and veges combination added into spices brings exotic sweet taste, but not spicy served as soup sauce taste unbelievable.

Nonetheless, their Indonesian cuisine Bamboo Prawn too among the recommended by chefs.  Local sea ‘ming’ prawn deep fried then stir fried with their in-house sweet & spicy sauce mixture served on bamboo you cannot missed when stepped into the “CBY Yummy Cuisine” restaurant at Sungai Ara, Penang.
