Still being assisted by family members, having great response from the market allowed them to be recognised as one of the best eatery in year 2015.
According to owner Andy Chuan (3rd generation), his grandfather Mr. Chuan Yoon Hee (founder, born 1913) who running a coffee shop (kopitiam) along Jalan Kampar, Ipoh in 1950s, later on moved into the recent location at Jalan Raja Permaisuri Bainun since year 1955 with the name “Yee Fatt Tea Shop” running with the assistance of his sons, the 2nd generation, Mr. Chuan Wooi Kong, Mr. Chuan Wui Bok and Mr. Chuan Wui Lum (Andy’s father), began their home recipe hainanese curry mee introduced to the locals.
While Andy Chuan who at his age of 42 years old currently, touched the industry since his age as teenager helping father and uncle in the kopitiam initially stepped into and been generation passed onto their home recipe, then took over to continue the career at his 32 years old in 2005. Still being assisted by parents and uncle serving their traditional authentic menus under the 60 years history roof.
In this restaurant, the owner Andy’s first top recommended in menus surely will be their 3-generation Hainanese Curry Mee Soup which is one of the iconic eatery in town. Curry soup base boiled an hour with their secret more than 10 ingredients mixture, then poured into quality coconut milk (santan) brings very exotic and smooth curry taste you must try when reached Ipoh, Perak.
