Liew Taw Jong who at his age of 40 years old currently, was a worker in Manufacturing Industry at Singapore, since young having great interest in eatery creation and food-make producing initially stepped into the food industry in Ipoh, Perak after returned to hometown in the end of 1990s under-employed experienced in the food production and baking field.  At the same time practised self-studies and exercised practical on his food making, allowed Taw Jong decided to fully commit into the career to expose further.

While in year 2000 at his age of 25, Taw Jong sucessfully established his very 1st and owned bakery at Taman Rasi Jaya named “Chung Confectionery Enterprise” producing and introducing his home recipe traditional Kaya Puff and Portugese Egg Tart to the market,  recently being assisted by wife Ai Mei, who stepped into the industry since year 2002 helping husband untill today.

In “Chung” bakery, the founder’s to recommended you must try when reached Ipoh will surely their Signature Kaya Puff which with choices of green kaya and cocklat kaya.  Fully handmade Kaya Puff is one of the reason to be recognised.  Traditional way by Taw Jong from handmade flur making mixed into chicken egg, wrapped insided with their home cooked kaya paste boiled 5 hours with mixtures of coconut milk, sugar and egg then served after 45 minutes roast topped with egg leyered brings the best puff in town.

Their crispy outer layer texture in bites and the exotic sweet taste brings by the kaya paste itself you never regret after taken.  Also the most wanted by their visitors, will be their non-local customer’s best gift when reached Ipoh, Perak to be brought back to their particular hometown.
