Lim Cheong Heng who at his age of 51 years old currently, initially stepped into the f&b industry since 1979 at his 15 years old as kitchen trainee in Ipoh, Perak. Later on, in year 1986 running his very owned roadside noodle stall with wife along Lorong 3, Bercham. Then successfully exposed into their first restaurant after 10 years in 1995, named “Cheong Kee” noodle house at Persiaran Medan Bercham 6, which is the recent location.
While Ray Lim Tze Kee (son) who at his age of 30 years old now, also the Cheong Kee roasted mix founder, touched the industry since teenager helping parents in the family noodle house. Stepped into the roasted career in year 2005 at his 20 of age, joined a roadside roasted mix stall at Pusing, Perak as beginner spent 2 years plus there to experience the profession later on in year 2007 enabled Ray Lim to began his roasted mix in family’s restaurant. Subsequent to the great response from the market, allowed Ray and parents in year 2010 fully converted their noodle house into roasted mix specialize shop re-named “Restoran Bercham Cheong Kee”, running 2 lots recently.
In Cheong Kee Roasted Mix, the owners top recommended in menus will be their BBQ Pork or locally known Char Siew. Which prepared after an hour marinated with their 10 spices mixture, roasted above charcoal for another 45 minutes you must have a try when reached Ipoh, Perak.
