In our nation Malaysia, you can find several bakeries everywhere selling their homemade breads, cakes, dessert etc on particular conceptual selections.  But in Ipoh, Perak we recognised the first in nation, swiss rolls specialize cake house “JJ Roll” carried by Jennifer, who initially only began as part of her interest.

Jennifer Liau who at her age of 64 years old currently, is in Painting Distribution career with family in Perak, having great interest in swiss rolls and cakes initially touched the food industry related to her charity works since year 1999.  Rather than purchased from outsider using their charity fund raised, Jennifer decided to stepped into the cake rolls making career wishing to produce healthier and cheaper swiss rolls, later on met her business partner Mr. Lim who also in the charity works, also a 30 years experienced Baker, both bodied-up to began their home made swiss roll in year 2006, the “JJ Setia Enterprise”.

Subsequent to the great response from public, both Jennifer and Mr. Lim too foreseen the market demand opportunity on the eatery enabled them after a year in 2007 established their very first homemade swiss rolls retailing began from a counter in the “De Mouth Restaurant” along Jalan Kampar, Ipoh started with about 10 flavours choices.  While in year 2009 moved into the shoplot running a bakery outlet in Jalan Chung Thye Phin.

In year 2013 Jennifer successfully exposed into the specialize swiss rolls & cakes house, where the famous branding “JJ Roll” began at Jalan Bahru, Ipoh recently introducing more than 30 flavours selection all prepared with fresh vegetables and fruits, with no preservatives and low sugar on Lim’s recipes, and cakes.

In JJ Roll, the founder’s top recommended in menus will be their top seller Coffee Walnut with Peanut Butter Cream.  Sponge cakes layer prepared with the mixtures of coffee flavour and walnuts rolled insided with peanut butter cream you must try when reached Ipoh.  According to the owner Jennifer, all their swiss rolls are recommended to freeze-on to maintaining the insided cream bites texture, and to keep the rolls freshness.

Secondly will be their Chocolate Hazelnut with Butter Cream, which also among the signature most wanted by their visitors.  The fine chocolate and hazelnut exotic eatery taste brought out from the rolls you will never regret after consumed into mouth.

Another will be their Vanilla with Durian Gilling and Vanilla with Chempedak Filling, both prepared using selected fresh Malaysia’s local authentic fruits which are the locals and visitors favourite.  Moreover, Jennifer also strongly introduced their famous 4-in-1 Swiss Roll Mini King selection which 4 flavours such pumpkin, spinach, carrot and banana available in a pack which rolls filling with cream & cheese, will be the best in town.

While in cakes section, the owner introduced their Opera Delight Cake which prepared in layers with coffee and chocolate, and served topped with cream made mixed into wine, such a very authentic eatery.  Nonetheless, their Chocolate Mousse Cake and Carrot Walnut Cake are also the favourites by regulars you cannot missed when stepped into “JJ Roll” at Ipoh, Perak.
