“Bak Kut Teh” or formerly known as pork ribs herbal soup, been years recognised as one of the Malaysian Chinese favourites and practised throughout the nation recently also most wanted by the visitors when reached Malaysia.  Here in Perak we found the 21 years “Lung Kee Bak Kut Teh” carried by Tia family presenting their generation recipe to the public in Taiping.

The local originated Mr. Tia Soon Yong who born in year 1967, was the founder and immediate owner of the Taiping famous oldies “Restoran Lung Kee” bak kut teh specialized restaurant introducing his grandfather’s home recipe at Medan Taiping, Perak.  Being assisted by wife Ms. Tew Guek Boew, who born in Kedah with age of 23 years old recently.

Tia Soon Yong who at his age of 48 years old currently, was formerly in Trading Industry helping father in Perak.  All the while having great interest in eatery especially bak kut teh, initially in year 1994 at his age of 27 holding grandfather’s recipe and wishing to expose his family recipe decided to step into the f&b industry, and began his bak kut career.  In year 1994 successfully established his very 1st and owned bak kut teh restaurant named “Restoran Lung Kee” or well known as “Lung Kee Bak Kut Teh” in Taiping, Perak began his charcoal claypot bak kut teh soup explosure untill recent at 1 location.

In this bak kut teh restaurant, the founder’s top recommended in menus surely will be their family Tia’s Bak Kut Teh Soup.  Which soup base boiled 10 minutes with garlic and 14 chinese herbals mixture, then dropped into pork bones, meats and internal parts boiled for another 45 minutes brings very authentic eatery you must try when reached Taiping, Perak.
