All 3 local originated Ms. Wendy Choi Yuet Lay who born in Kampar year 1963 with her two best same age schoolmates Ms. Ng See Fon and Ms. Yong Wai Yee were the founders, and the initial owners of the well known “Restaurant Jia Kampar” chinese cuisine restaurant at Kampar Oldtown serving their various signature menus to the locals and visitors under a roof.
Wendy Choi who at her age of 52 years old currently, touched the f&b industry since end 1990s helping her elder sister in their canteen stalls for about 2 years, where she began her experience in the career. While Ng See Fon who all the while being involved in her home family’s Seafood Supplies Industry in Kampar, and Yong Wai Yee who in her family’s Noodles Manufacturing Industry together stepped into the f&b industry when bodied-up with best friend Wendy Choi in year 2009.
Having great interest in eatery and holding same vision to brings the “Home” dinning concept into hometown Kampar, enabled the 3 ladies to successfully established their very 1st and owned chinese cuisine restaurant named “Restaurant Jia Kampar” along Jalan Masjid, Kampar began with 2 lots then expanded into another lot in year 2014 to meet the market demand.
In this “Home” restaurant, the founder’s top recommended in menus surely will be their Kampar local famous eatery Curry Chicken Bread. Curry chicken prepared in half an hour cooked, chicken boiled with their homemade curry paste made from 12 recipes ingredient, poured into potatoes cubes then served wrapped in their homemade flur bread roast for another 40 minutes will be the Kampar’s best “Curry Chicken Bread” you must taste when reached Kampar, Perak.
Secondly will be their Assam Triple Seafood Mix, which is one of the restaurant’s signature dish on home recipe. Mixtures of grouper fish slice, “Ming” prawn and sea squid stir fried with their in-house assam paste made from more than 10 ingredients brings sour & spicy taste you cannot aside. Served mixed into lady finger, onions and red chillies shredded will also their regulars most wanted among menus.

Moreover, the owners also introduced their famous Herbal Boiled Village Chicken, or locally known “Boiled Kampung Chicken”. Local land-feeded village chicken being selected, boiled 45 minutes in their 2-hours cooked soup base with 8 herbals insided, then served in cutted pieces, taken tipping onto their homemade ginger paste sided will be the best eatery in town.
