MASTER LEONG INTRODUCING HIS HOME RECIPES IN THE NORTH, CARRIED ON HIS 40 YEARS CHEFING EXPERIENCE

“Master Leong”, who famously known in the North, presenting various of his chinese cuisines selections under a roof along Jalan Teja having great response from the public.  And in year 2015 being found and recognised as one of the best eating place you need to have a try, especially his homemade “Klang” bak kut teh.

The Penang originated Mr. Alan Leong who born in year 1954, was the founder and the initial owner of the well known “Master Leong Klang Bak Kut Teh” chinese cuisine restaurant at Sungai Petani, Kedah serving not only bak kut teh but also others signature menus all carried on his 40 years chefing experience.

Alan Leong or locally known “Master Leong” who at his age of 61 years old recently, initially stepped into the f&b industry since year 1975 at his 21st years old in Penang recruited himself into the “Kam Hoi Leng Restaurant”(pronouns) began as kitchen trainee for about 2 years.  Then joined the “Hong Kong Noodle & Porridge Restaurant”, where he been given opportunity to expose further as Group Chief Chef leading the group’s restaurants around the nations, reached Kuala Lumpur at his 27.

In order to go further in the career, Master Leong stayed and exposed for more than 15 years in Kuala Lumpur been joined several restaurants such as “Man Wah Restaurant”(pronouns), “First Chinese Cuisine Restaurant”, “Lei Yue Moon Restaurant” etc as main chef to sharpen his cooking profession.  Later in year 1997, Master Leong reached Sungai Petani, Kedah running his Ipoh Sar Hor Fun food stall at the beginning then established his seafood & chinese restaurant at Jalan Sekarat, Sungai Petani running for another 6 years.

While in year 2011, Master Leong introduced his very home recipe bak kut teh named “Ah Leong Bak Kut Teh” at Taman Keladi since 2011 having great response from the locals enabled him to established the “Master Leong Klang Bak Kut Teh” restaurant after a year moving into bigger shop, also serving others signature chinese cuisines to the locals.  Expanded into 5 branches in two years previously.

In Master Leong restaurant, the founder’s first top recommended in menus surely will be the Klang Bak Kut Teh.  Soup base prepared with more than 10 chinese herbals mixture boiled an hour with pork bones, then boiled another 2 hours mixed into spare ribs, pork belly, trotter, tail, intestine, stomach and tendon meats.  Served boiled in claypot and topped with golden mushroom sticks, mushroom slices, dried beancurd and veges you must try when reached Sungai Petani.

Secondly will be their Black Vinegar Pork Trotter, which among the restaurant’s top seller.  Local fresh pork trotter selected, stewed more than an hour with matured ginger, black beans, black vinegar, sesame oil and added into Master Leong’s spices mixture.  Then served boiled in claypot will be one of the best eatery you cannot aside.

Another will be their Thai Sauce Chicken Chop, also among the signature recently most wanted by the regulars.  Boneless chicken drumstick prepared marinated with in-house recipe flur, deep fried then served poured onto their home recipe thai sweet, sour & spicy sauce made from 5 ingredients mixture, topped with onions and chillies shredded you will never regret after tasted.

Moreover, the Marmite Chicken Wings also can be seen on almost every single table in the restaurant.  Marinated chicken wings, flur-up then deep fried, served after minutes stir fried with their 8 recipes sauce included oyster sauce and honey bring sweet and exotic taste likes by most of the locals and visitors.

Nonetheless, in vegetables corner, Master Leong introduced his Siam Fried Veges which prepared mixed with salted fish and his secret home sauce brings sour & sweet taste you cannot missed when stepped into the “Master Leong Klang Bak Kut Teh” at Sungai Petani, Kedah.
