One of the local Malaysians favourite, the “Roasted Mix”, especially by those chinese religious since years ago still easily and frequently practised everywhere in our nation on respective recipes.  Here in Kuantan, Pahang there is one of the recommended and recognised roasted house “Sri Jaya Town” along Jalan Haji Ahmad having great response from the public recently.

The local Pahang originated Mr. Lee Ting Keong who born in year 1974, was the initial founder and together with wife May Lee Choi Sim (born 1976) both are the owners of today’s “Sri Jaya Town” roasted mix restaurant or locally known “Keong Roasted Mix” serving their delicious roasted pork and chicken to the locals and visitors on their home recipe since year 2000 in the East Coast.

Lee Ting Keong or known Lee Keong who at his age of 41 years old currently, initially stepped into the food & beverage industry since his age of 15 years old in 1989 began as kitchen trainee in the “Apollo Restaurant” at Teluk Cempedak, Pahang for a year before joined the “Pattaya Restaurant” as helper.  In order to further expose his career, Lee Keong been reached the south such Johor Bahru and Singapore sharpened his profession in the chinese cuisine field, and being positioned as Chef in Singapore at end 1990s.

While in year 1998, Lee Keong reached Old Klang Road at Kuala Lumpur assisting his elder brother in their Chicken Rice Stall where he started to touch chicken rice and roasted mix.  After 2 years in 2000, Lee Keong returned to hometown Kuantan established his very 1st owned chicken rice stall at Cenderawasih, Kuantan named “Keong Kee”, then moved to Gebeng, Pahang for another 3 years.

With the experiences and great response from the public allowed Lee Keong to stayed about 11 years at Jalan Air Putih, Kuantan running his roasted mix career where his wife May Lee stepped into the career helping husband in their food stall.  And also where “Keong Roasted Mix” began.  In year 2015 exposed into specialized shop restaurant along Jalan Haji Ahmad and offically named “Sri Jaya Town” or still famously known by local “Keong Roasted Mix”.

No doubts in Keong Roasted, the founder Lee Keong’s first top recommended in menus will be his Roasted Pork Belly.  Fresh local belly pork selected, marinated overnight with his 3 recipes mixture, then served after 2 hours roast will brings fantastic juicy meats texture in bites and crispy skin level you must have a try when reached Kuantan, Pahang.

Secondly will be their Roasted Pork or “Char Siew”, which among the regulars favourite.  Chest portion pork meats commonly used, marinated with 6 spices, then charcoal roast for 1&half hours wipped onto their homemade sweet sauce brings very exotic sweet taste you cannot aside.  Also the meats texture when bites into mouth, served poured onto the sauce obtained from the roasting itself will be the best eatery in town.

Another will be their signature choice, the Sesame Chicken which also one of the restaurant’s top seller.  Local feeded chicken selected, short marinated with few simple recipes then roast 35 minutes with sesame seeds coated will brings another authentic eatery you never regret after taken.

Moreover, their Salted Roast Chicken also among recommended not easily found in others, on Lee Keong’s recipe.  Chicken marinated solely with rough salt for 2 hours, then served after 35 minutes roast brings awasome exotic salty and appertizing taste favouite by the locals.

Besides, the owner Lee Keong also introduced their traditional Roasted Chicken by charcoal prepared in also 35 minutes.  Taken with their secret 5 ingredients mixture soya sauce poured onto when served brings sweet & slight salty taste you surely cannot missed when stepped into the “Sri Jaya Town” or “Keong Roasted Mix” restsurant at Kuantan, Pahang.
