TASTE THE AUTHENTIC SEAFOODS IN “RESTORAN PERTAMA KIJAL” BY LIM FAMILY @ TERENGGANU

Talking about Terengganu, the place with scenic beaches along the state rich with lots of seafoods favourite by most of the visitors, especially the “Stuffed Crab”.  Here in Kijal, Terengganu we found and being recognised one of the best seafood house “Restoran Pertama Kijal” by the Lim family since 2006 having great response from the public.

The local Hainanese Mr. Lim Tin Meng who born in year 1942 was the initial founder, together with his wife Madam Pua Bot Tee are the immediate owners of the Kijal’s famous “Restoran Pertama Kijal” serving all their home recipes selections to the locals and visitors.  And being fully operates by their daughter Ms. Karen Lim Hwe Shi (born 1989), also the restaurant’s recent owner, as 2nd generation.

Lim Tin Meng who at his age of 73 year old currently, was in the food & beverage industry since years ago together with wife Madam Pua running their canteen career in Terengganu.  Then exposed into a kopitiam restaurant selling economic mixed rice to further their exposure in the industry before began the seafood restaurant at Kijal Beach.

While Karen Lim who only at her age of 26 years old recently, initially touched the f&b industry since kids helping parents in their canteen.  Later on fully stepped into the career after her education, with parents established their family’s very 1st and owned seafood restaurant named “Restoran Pertama Kijal” introducing most of their chef’s home recipes at Pantai Pelancongan Kijal, Terengganu in year 2006.

Among the best menu recommended by the owner in “Pertama Kijal”, firstly will be their Curry Fish Head, which also the restaurant’s signature.  Commonly sea grouper and red fish head selected, cooked with their homemade curry paste from more than 10 ingredients mixture, and mixed into eggplant, lady finger, season bean and dried beancurd then served boiled in claypot brings very delicious Claypot Curry Fish Head you must try when reached Terengganu.

Secondly will be the state’s delicacy eatery most wanted by all visitors, the “Stuffed Crab”, also one of the restaurant’s top seller.  The mixtures of fresh crab meats shredded, carrot, veges & mushroom fried in home recipe, freezed-up then stuffed in crab shell, and served after minutes roast coated with chicken egg brings unbelievable eatery only in Terengganu you never regret after tasted.  Especially taken tipping onto the chilli sauce homemade by the restaurant.

Another will be their Garlic Tiger Prawn, which among the restaurant’s signature.  Fresh deep sea Tiger Prawn selected, pan fried with margarine then served topped with deep fried garlic shredded brings the best eatery in town.  The prawn freshness and meats texture in bites you cannot aside.  And its not frequently found elsewhere, is the specific taste by “Restoran Pertama Kijal”.

Nonetheless, Karen also introduced their crispy and tasty Salted Egg Squids most wanted by their regulars.  Fresh sea squids prepared in cutted slices, flour-up in recipe, then deep fried mixed with salted egg yolk and curry leaf brings exotic salty taste you cannot missed when stepped into the “Restoran Pertama Kijal” at Kijal Beach, Kemaman Terengganu.
