Known famously by locals and visitors, Terengganu is one of the state which rich of fresh seafoods and found lots of restaurants everywhere running on respective recipes. Especially talking about Kemaman, the “Stuffed Crab” town in Terengganu attracted most of the visitors as local delicacy eatery since decade. The local originated Mr. Lim Soon Ming who born in year 1946 was the founder, together with wife Madam Aw Joon Kim (born 1957) are the initial owners of the local well known “Restoran Sin Bing Kee” chinese seafood cuisine restaurant serving all their home recipe signatures to the public for more than 30 years in Kemaman, Terengganu. Recently being assisted by their son Lim Taw Chien (born 1981), to be the 2nd generation in the family career.
Lim Boon Ming who at his age of 69 years old currently, initially stepped into the food and beverage industry since year 1974 at his age of 28th began as kitchen trainee in a chinese cuisine restaurant in Kuantan, Pahang for about 3 years. In order to expose further and to sharpen his chefing experience, Boon Ming been reached Kuala Lumpur and also travelled to east spents years in Sandakan, Sabah stayed in the career.
In year 1981, at his 35th, Boon Ming returned to his home state Terengganu still continued his profession exposure in the industry. Then in year 1983 successfully established his very 1st and owned restaurant named “Restoran Sin Bing Kee” introducing his chinese & seafoods recipes to the locals in the Kemaman town centre, being assisted by wife Joon Kin.
While Lim Taw Chien, also the 2nd generation, touched the career since kids helping parents in the restaurant been travelled to Singapore after his education. Later on returned to Kemaman fully stepped into the f&b industry since year 2008 wishing to continue and take up the responsibility to further expose his family career.
In “Restoran Sin Bing Kee”, the founder first top recommended in menus surely will be the local Kemaman’s most wanted eatery, the “Stuffed Crab”. Mixtures of fresh crab meats prepared in shredded and onions, stuffed into the crab shell, then served after minutes pan fried with chicken egg coated brings very authentic eatery only in Kemaman you must try when reached Terengganu.
Secondly will be their home recipe Curry Fish Head, which also the restaurant’s signature selection. Commonly sea grouper or red fish head selected, cooked with their home recipe curry paste mixtures then served boiled in claypot mixed with eggplant, lady finger and dried beancurd brings exotic spicy taste you cannot aside. Especially the sticky curry sauce swallowed into mouth and the fish head freshness & texture favourite by their regulars.
Another will be their homemade Steamed Pork Belly with Preserved Vege, a chinese traditional authentic eatery since decades. Local fresh belly pork boiled, marinated with their 4 home recipes mixture, followed by deep fried then steamed an hour with preserved veges before served brings very exotic taste and meats texture in bites most wanted by visitors.
Moreover, one of their top seller in the restaurant will be the Deep Fried Squids. Sea squids prepared in cutted slices, then deep fried after coated with their recipe flour brings golden brown “Fried Sotong” which crispy in bites, and delicious & mouth watering eatery you never regret after taken in “Sin Bing Kee”.
Nonetheless, the owner also introduced their signature Claypot Wine Prawn or locally known “Drunken Prawn”.
