It is easily to find the western cuisine restaurants and cafes nowadays everywhere in our country on respective recipes and menus brought into the market to serve the public on trend.  But here in Raub, Pahang we found and recognised one of the best and the leading Char-Grill Western Food & Mocktail Beverage eating house, the “East Coast Coffee House” since year 2015.

The local originated Mr. Alan Lew Sow Hong who born in year 1985, was the immediate founder and together with father Mr. Lew Kon Keong (born 1946) are the recent owners of the famous “East Coast Coffee House” western cuisine restaurant serving all their signature authentic eateries and beverages selection to the locals and visitors, having great response from the market.

Alan Lew Sow Hong, also the restaurant’s main chef, who at his age of 30 years old currently, all the while having great interest in eatery and chefing initially stepped into the f&b industry since year 2003 at his 18th been recruited himself into the nationwide “Fish & Co” restaurant as kitchen trainee at Kuala Lumpur, where he began his f&b career.

After 3 years experienced in the field, Alan Lew being given opportunity to transfer reached Singapore by the organisation in year 2006 spent 9 years exposure in the industry sharpen and strengthen his profession in the field.  And being positioned to in-charge and involve in the Singapore’s outlet franchaise setting up for “Fish & Co” restaurants.

With the experiences hold and vision to expose into home country Malaysia, Alan Lew decided to start from his hometown Raub, Pahang with the support from father Mr. Lew Kon Keong, who formerly in Timber Industry, successfully established their very 1st and owned western cuisine eating house at Pusat Perniagaan Raub, Pahang in mid 2015 named “East Coast Coffee House”.  Also the first specialist bringing Mocktail Beverage series into the town.

In this coffee house, the founder Alan’s top recommended in menus will be their Cajun Chicken Breast with Mazzarella Cheese.  Chicken breast portion selected, marinated with 6 recipes mixture for 6 hours then char-grilled for about 8 minutes and topped with cheese brings very exotic barbeque taste you must try.  Served sided with coleslaw, mashed potato and spaghetti or rice will be the perfect match.  Options of black pepper sauce, mushroom sauce or buffalo sauce will be on customer’s choice.

Secondly will be the Char-Grill Lamb Chop, which among the restaurant’s top seller.  Lamb chop comes with double marinated at least 6 hours with in-house 8 ingredients mixture, char-grilled for 5 minutes then served with sided and sauce options brings fantastic chewing and juicy meats taste & texture in bites you cannot aside.

Another will be the chef’s best recommended in signature, their Rib-Eye Steak which also prepared in char-grill.  Simple marinated with few spices for only 2 hours to pretain the meats freshness, grilled and served in medium-well cooked brings best meats texture and exotic eatery in town you will never regret after consumed.  It is also among the regulars most wanted, especially for those who favourite in beef.

While in beverage corner, surely must try their famous Mocktail Series recently in 8 choices which prepared with “no alcohol”.  Among chef’s best choice will be the Passion Fruit Mojito, served mixed with passion fruit juice, limes and mints leaf shredded brings very refreshing and appertising drink you will like it.

Moreover, Alan also introduced one of the best choice in Mocktail series “Super Cooler” which prepared with mixtures of herbal teas and coconut juice, served topped with fresh coconut meat slices you cannot missed when stepped into the “East Coast Coffee House” at Raub, Pahang.
