THE BEST RECOGNISED CHINESE SEAFOOD CUISINE RESTAURANT & EATING PLACE “BIG HOUSE” IN BENTONG TOWN @ PAHANG

It is commonly seen and found lots of chinese cuisine or seafood restaurants everywhere in our nation which running on respective recipes.  But seldom found an eating place which with the combination of seafood restaurant, beverages and other various eateries food stalls all running under a roof, such “Bentong Big House” since year 2000 being recognised as the best in year 2015 in Bentong Town, Pahang.

All the Bentong local originates Mr. Hon Sai Lam who born in year 1969, together with younger brother Hon Sai Weng (born 1975) and Lai Meng Keong (born 1968) are the recent owners of the local well known “Restaurant Big House” chinese seafood cuisine house which serving all their signature home recipes to the locals and visitors under a roof in Bentong.

Lai Meng Keong or known Ah Keong, who also the restaurant’s main chef at his age of 47 years old currently, initially stepped into the f&b industry since year 1981 at his 13th.  Firstly recruited himself into the “Hong Kee Kopitiam” as kitchen trainee began in Bentong, where he touched the career.  Then been reached Kuala Lumpur, Johor and even travelled overseas to Singapore in 1990s stayed few years there to continue his profession in the field enabled him to strengthen and sharpen his chefing experience.

While in the millenium year 2000, Ah Keong returned to hometown Bentong successfully bodied-up with Hon Sai Lam, who is the founder of “Bentong Big House” been formerly was in Electronic Industry, stepped into the f&b industry in 2000 established their very 1st and owned “Restaurant Big House” seafood career as part in the eating place at Kg. Kemansur, Bentong.

Hon Sai Weng who at his age of 40 years old recently, was formerly a Sales & Marketing personnel, joined elder brother Sai Lam and stepped into the career in year 2007, later on officially registered group as “Bentong Big House S/B” to centrallize the eating house’s operation and management.

In Big House, the Chef’s first top recommended in menus will be their Curry Fish Head which in home recipe.  Fresh grouper fish head commonly selected, cooked with homemade curry paste (which 3 hours fried from more than 10 ingredients mixture), then served boiled in claypot with lady finger, eggplant, long bean, dried beancurd and sided with deep fried crispy dried beancurd skin will be the best eatery in town, with exotic curry taste and slight spicy you must try when reached Bentong, Pahang.

Secondly will be their Homemade Fish Ball, which also one of the most wanted by regulars.  Fresh in-house fish ball produced from “yellow tail’ fish, prepared after boil-cooked, then served poured onto their recipe onions oil and deep fried garlic shredded brings obvious fish ball freshness and the fantastic chewing textures in bites you cannot aside.

Another will be their Signature Big House Ribs, also among the best seller in the restaurant neither found elsewhere.  Fresh selected local pork ribs, prepared in deep fried after marinated, then stewed 90 minites with chef’s home recipes made from more than 10 spices brings very exotic stewed and salty taste you will never regret after consumed.  Especially the meats texture itself in bites and the taste into mouth.

Moreover, the owners also favourite with their Sizzling 3 Treasure Seafoods.  Mixtures of local fresh sea prawn, squid and cuttlefish sizzling cooked with homemade assam paste wrapped in banana leaf brings sour & spicy taste likes by visitors.  Also one of the best appertising eatery selection recommended in this seafood restaurant.

Nonetheless, they also introduced the Golden Sands Prawn among signature.  Sea “Ming Prawn” selected, prepared in deep fried then served after seconds stir fried with crispy biscuits shredded and curry leaf you cannot missed when stepped into the “Restaurant Big House”, a part of the Bentong Big House eating place in Bentong, Pahang.

Other than seafoods, there are also choices of delicious and authentic eating stalls running under the roof in “Big House” such Beef Noodles, Pork Noodles, Chicken Rice, Rice Noodles Roll and other local cuisine eateries, and beverages available to meet the visitors demand from morning to mid-night.
